What else must the church witness to than the resurrection of the crucified One, who is present in its midst through the preaching of the gospel and the administration of the sacraments? Oh, yes, we have to spin out the mean Ing of the cross and resurrection of Christ; we have to celebrate it worthily and compellingly in our public assemblies; we have to reorder our lives In conformity with its implications, turning away from the way of the world and toward the new life under Christ's reign; we have to invite others to reorder their lives according to this new reality for the world; and we want to invite them to join us in a community of proclamation and celebration. But in essence, the mission of the church is to proclaim that Jesus, who taught God's will for the world and was crucified for doing so, was raised from the dead by his God and Father; and this same crucified and risen One will come again as judge and universal ruler. The eschatological reign of God has been inaugurated In the resurrection of Jesus and in the mis sion of proclaiming this good news. This can only mean that the reality of the world is being changed. Many people don't like having their world altered, and they may react negatively toward the messengers of this world-changing proclamation. -

Looking only at the number of regular attendees,1 the estimated membership for all Eastern Orthodox Churches was 183,020 versus 171,045 for all Oriental Orthodox Churches. Between 2010 and 2020, Eastern Orthodox Churches have suffered significant membership losses: they declined by 17% in total adherents and by 14% in regular attendees. In stark contrast, Oriental Orthodox Churches have grown substantially in both total adherents (+67%) and regular attendees (+59%). However, these overall trends in membership were more nuanced when looking at individual Church bodies. This report examines and presents the 2010‐2020 membership changes in fourteen Eastern and nine Oriental Orthodox Churches. -

In 2008 the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) won both the presidency and a small majority in parliament in an election deemed generally free and fair by domestic and international observers; John Evans Atta Mills was inaugurated president in January 2009. There were instances in which elements of the security forces acted independently of government authorities. Human rights problems included the following: use of excessive force by police, which resulted in deaths and injuries; ethnic killings and vigilante violence; harsh and life-threatening prison conditions; police impunity; prolonged pretrial detention; arbitrary arrest of journalists; corruption in all branches of government; violence against women and children, including female genital mutilation (FGM); societal discrimination against women, persons with disabilities, gays and lesbians, and persons with HIV/AIDS; trafficking in women and children; ethnic discrimination and politically motivated violence; and child labor, including forced child labor. RESPECT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS Section 1 Respect for the Integrity of the Person, Including Freedom From: a. Arbitrary or Unlawful Deprivation of Life There were no reports that the government or its agents committed politically motivated killings; however, use of excessive force by security forces resulted in the deaths of several armed criminal suspects and other persons during the year. -

There is a spiritual reason the illness occurred. The process of spiritual healing teaches us something about ourselves we didn’t know before. When the eyes are in trouble, we have to ask, What am I not seeing about my spiritual life that is causing me difficulty with my eyesight? You see, the approach assumes responsibility for whatever is wrong. Once we’re willing to shoulder the blame for our thoughts and actions, the inner force can begin to heal us, even as our understanding of the causes becomes known to us through our dreams or other means. It’s pointless to debate the merits of medical doctors versus chiropractors or herbalists. Your karma differs from that of other people. You as an individual have to find the healing modality that is right for you. Even that can change with time. Your state of consciousness today is not the same as it used to be or it will be in two weeks or a couple of years from now. As karma surfaces, it works out through the weakest point in our body. As quickly as we can release our attachment to whatever is hurting us, we allow the karma to pass off quickly, and our health stays balanced. The key to stay in tune with Divine Spirit. Trough the Spiritual Exercises of ECK, you can be aware of the hints as nudges and whisperings of the Holy spirit as It tries to guide you to the next step to take at any point. -

Please read the statutes below and decide if the officiant you chose would be considered a member of the “clergy,” a “licentiate” of a denomination, or would fit under another category listed. WISCONSIN STAT. §765.16 MARRIAGE CONTRACT, HOW MADE: OFFICIATING PERSON (1m) Marriage may be validly solemnized and contracted in this state only after a marriage license has been issued therefor, and only by the mutual declarations of the 2 parties to be joined in marriage that they take each other as husband and wife, made before an authorized officiating person and in the presence of at least 2 competent adult witnesses other than the officiating person. The following are authorized to be officiating persons: (a) Any ordained member of the clergy of any religious denomination or society who continues to be an ordained member of the clergy. (b) Any licentiate of a denominational body or an appointee of any bishop serving as the regular member of the clergy of any church of the denomination to which the member of the clergy belongs, if not restrained from so doing by the discipline of the church or denomination. (c) The 2 parties themselves, by mutual declarations that they take each other as husband and wife, in accordance with the customs, rules and regulations of any religious society, denomination or sect to which either of the parties may belong. -
