FROM YOUR DOM ANNOUNCEMENTS

On Wednesday, September 16, 2020, Marshall Baptist Association lost a giant of a man. Oh, not so much in height, but so very big in heart and ministry for Jesus. Rev. Charles Woods, retired associate pastor of First Baptist Church Albertville, and founder of The Great Physician’s Clinic, passed from this earth to enter the gates of heaven.

His funeral service was held at the church he had given so much of his life in service to the Lord, First Baptist Church Albertville. Bro. Charles had planned his own funeral service and even had pre-recorded a solo of him singing one of his favorite hymns, “He Loved Me.”

He lived his life as a servant. He shared with me one day that The Great MBRC RESERVATIONS Physician’s Clinic had ministered to 14,000 patients since its inception. Many souls were saved while visiting The Great Make your reservations NOW for 2021 at the Marshall Physician’s Clinic because everyone had the love of Jesus Christ shared with them after being helped with their dental, eye Baptist Retreat Center. Mike Johnson, his former pastor, led the funeral service that could be viewed on-line. They shared many “secret life” facts about him and his generosity. He was a man of stewardship, and served as a deacon, after serving as Minister of Music. He would serve as a counselor on his boat for those who needed a listening ear. MARK YOUR CALENDARS! He was a humorist who loved to make you laugh and smile…”have you got anything to stop this coffin?” (A punch line of one MARSHALL BAPTIST ASSOCIATION of his favorite jokes to a pharmacist when a coffin rolled down the hill at a funeral home.) 133rd ANNUAL MEETING

Monday, October 12, One session only at 6:30 p.m. Bro. Charles was a member of the Alabama Baptist Singing Men. He was recently awarded “Man of the Year” by the Mount Calvary Baptist Church Chamber of Commerce in Albertville. 201 Rose Rd, Albertville

The session will include a short business meeting, Our sympathy, prayers and love go out to Jo Ann, his wife, and their entire family.
