17.8.4 BOUNDARY REVIEW

It was agreed that the Parish Council should draw to the attention of the Boundary Review Committee the extremely close connection had with Holton St Mary and Stratford St Mary.

From a parochial point of view, the four parishes of Stratford St Mary, Higham, Holton St Mary and Raydon were already connected in one benefice, sharing the services of one Rector - and for many years the Parish Magazine had covered all four parishes. The four parishes also shared one primary school catchment area, with the school located in Stratford St Mary. The villages of , Raydon and Holton St Mary were also connected by the B1070 running through them and it was agreed that the PC would welcome the district boundary being extended to include those villages.

There was also a shared interest with Wenham Parva and , given the proximity to the Notley Enterprise Park located on Raydon Airfield; again, the PC would be happy for the district boundary to be increased to include those areas. All the aforementioned villages were classed as hinterlands, according to Babergh's last Local Plan.

The PC did not feel that Raydon had a particular connection with , and would have no objection if the Commission felt the need to group this village closer to Boxford.
