Budapest History Museum "Fine Museum on Castle Hill"

This museum is definitely worth a visit, especially if you have been enchanted by the beauty of Budapest and you want to learn more about it. It is housed in one of the wings of the actual palace. You will find several exhibitions retelling the city's long and turbulent history as well as sections that have been renovated to show what the palace used to look by David Nagy like in medieval times. There is also a fine collection of statues.

Ethnographic Museum (Budapest) "All About Hungarian Culture"

The Ethnographic Museum of Budapest is housed within a building that is in itself an architectural masterpiece both inside and out. The Grand Entrance Hall will take your breath away with its elegant arches, stately columns and staircases, clad in gold. The exhibits themselves provide an interesting and educational overview of the lives of the Hungarians. by Stephen Montgomery Exhibits include curiosities like regional folk costumes, textiles and pottery as well as other items that offer an insight into the daily lives of the natives across the 19th-century. Guided tours of the museum and exhibits are conducted in a variety of languages.

"Histoire de la nation"

Liszt Ferenc Memorial Museum "Apartment of the Famous Composer"

This museum is the actual four-room apartment that was given to Liszt by the Hungarian government. He lived here every winter for six years until 1886 (the year of his death). Despite his preference for simplicity, the government provided him with all the luxuries of the day, which make for interesting viewing. Bartok Memorial House "Abode of the Famous Composer"

A visit to the home of famous composer Bela Bartok (1881-1945) is a must for classical music fans. Amongst other things, it offers a glimpse into the composer's personal life. As well as his own belongings, there is also a collection of memorial items such as paintings and even stamps. Bartok, who spent a lot of time studying traditional folk music, did not live in a by Burrows traditional house; instead it captures the look of the early twentieth century. Aquincum Museum "Budapest's Roman Past Revealed"

A marvelous building steeped in history and culture, the showcases some incredible exhibits and artifacts pertaining to the rich history of the country. Indeed, Budapest is so full of history that it is easy to lose sight of the fact that the Romans were here two thousand years ago. Their settlement was known as Aquincum, and its namesake by Kaboldy museum brings its history to life. A large outdoor area featuring significant ruins gives visitors a clear picture of the building layouts and patterns, while the museum itself houses some real treasures, including a portable water organ, as well as objects from the temple of the Aquincum Mithraeum. The sprawling building also contains other spectacular Roman- style rooms, and a pretty garden surrounds it, bolstering the allure of the area.
