Beaudry, who  nished with 906 saves in 2009-10, ranks  fth all-time in PC’s single season saves leaders. Beaudry also  nished second in Hockey East in saves and save percentage (.916). • Kyle MacKinnon (Walnut, Calif.) led the team in scoring with a career-high 25 points on 12 goals and 13 assists. MacKinnon scored his  rst career hat trick on February 19 against Boston University.

SCOUTING NORTHEASTERN Northeastern was defeated by Acadia, 3-2, in an exhibition game on Saturday, October 2 at Mat- thews Arena. Mike McClaughlin and Zak Stone each scored for NU. The Huskies enter the 2010-11 season looking to return to the Hockey East Tournament after missing out on a playo! berth last season by just one point. Northeastern returns 19 players from last season’s team and welcome nine newcomers. Wade MacLeod and Tyler McNeely, who  nished  rst and third, respectively in scoring a year ago, will look to lead the Huskies. MacLeod  nished with 30 points (14 goals, 16 assists), while McNeely recorded 28 points (12 goals, 16 assists). In net, Chris Rawlings returns for his sophomore season after an impressive freshman campaign in which he was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team.

FRIARS DRAFTED BY NHL TEAMS This year’s PC team features two players who were selected in the NHL Entry Draft. Sophomore Alex Velischek (Kinnelon, N.J.) was selected in the  fth round, 123rd overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2009. Freshman Mark Adams (Boxford, Mass.) was chosen in the  fth round, 134th overall by the Bu! alo Sabres in 2009.

RHODE ISLAND FLAVOR The 2010-11 men’s hockey team has a contingent of Rhode Islanders. In addition to three play- ers, Head Coach Tim Army (East Providence) and Assistant Coach David Berard (Coventry) also hail from the Ocean State. The Rhode Islanders on this season’s team are: senior Eric Baier (North Kingstown), junior Justin Gates (Cranston) and freshman Derek Army (North Kingstown).

PROVIDENCE NON-CONFERENCE SCHEDULE PC’s seven-game non-conference schedule features two games at WCHA power Minnesota Duluth (10/15 and 10/16) and two contests at Alabama-Huntsville (11/12 and 1/13).
