Gates of Haast (Hinge to Thunder Falls) – Work underway for first stage. NC with MBD 3. Epitaph (Knights Point) – Monitored under NC Contract 4. – Work to commence under NC Contract with MBD. 5. Omeroa (Fox Hills) – Monitored. Design of remedial work for under slip currently with WSP-Opus. One lane at that point. 6. – Bailey Bridge reinstatement underway by WSP-Opus, FH and Downer 7. Mount Hercules 8. The Deviation (Whataroa) – Remedial work required 9. Otira Gorge •Kelly’s Creek – Ongoing through NOC •Candy’s Creek - Ongoing

• Pedestrian facility and guardrailing at the Tatare Bridge, Franz Josef • Guardrailing at Manakaiaua Bridge (Haast); and Taipo River Bridge, SH73 • Increased provision and enlargement of stopping bays on key vista points on the corridor (eg Roaring Billy) • Improving side protection (barriers and guardrail) • More one-lane bridge improvements • Better driver information (IT infrastructure, access, and visitor information) • Improving resilience of the corridor In line with the Government Position Statement and Resilience Framework, the Agency is: • increasing its priority and broadening its approach for Resilience- related works • There are 4 Framework Principles: Works should be Community (Impacts) Focussed, Collaborative, Comprehensive and Proactive
