` Top 100 for 1H 2015 Securities Class Action Services, LLC Published: September 28, 2015 Executive Summary ISS Securities Class Action Services tracked 61 settlements for the first half of 2015, up from from 53 settlements seen duringthe first half of 2014. Out of the 61 settlement agreements, five settlements ranked in the ISS Securities Class Action Services Top 100 for 1H 2015, which amounted for a 450 percent increase in settlement funds when compared to the same period in the previous year. The cases identified include: › American International Group, Inc. (2008) (S.D.N.Y.), which brought the highest settlement fund($900 million for approximately 200 eligible securities). › Bear Stearns Mortgage Pass-Through Certificates › IndyMac Mortgage Pass-Through Certificates (Individual & Underwriter Defendants) › Activision Blizzard, Inc. › Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) (2008) Out of the five settlements, four were filed in the federal courts during the midst of the financial credit crisis, while one was filed in the state court relating to the company’s private sale transaction. Two of the five were alleged violating Rule 10b-5 of the Securities and Exchange Act of 1934 (Employment of Manipulative and Deceptive Practices) while three were alleged violations of the Securities Act of 1933 (Civil Liabilities on Account of False Registration Statement). Two of the five settlements relate to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and have restated their financial during the relevant periods. Of the five settlements, two were identified in the S&P Index. One SEC initiated settlement placed in the Top 30 SEC Disgorgement amounting to $200 Million. The Securities Class Action Services Tentative Settlement Pipeline stands $17.3 Billion as of 31 July 2015. -

Willett, University of Southern Indiana Abstract The experiences of the two businesses presented here correlate well with the success factors iden- tified in the literature related to implementation of enterprise resource planning systems. The im- portance of successful ERP system planning and deployment becomes evident when consideration is given to the resources companies devote to these projects and the advantages promised and of- ten realized as a result of business process improvement through ERP. As enterprise resource planning continues to evolve, its importance seems likely to grow. This evolution will allow ERP to expand to serve smaller and smaller businesses and businesses with more specialized enterprise resource planning needs. To truly serve these institutions, ERP deployments must become more reliable through the further refinement of success factor analysis. 1.0 Introduction nterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems change the way businesses do business. With promises of huge savings and competitive advantages, vendors sell at least $15 billion of ERP systems each year E with expected market growth to $50 billion in annual ERP sales in the next three years, (Bingi, 1999). More than 50% of the Fortune 500 corporations today have already implemented ERP systems, (Grove, 2000), and 70% of the Fortune 1000 firms already have or will soon have ERP systems installed, (Bingi, 1999). Further, newly developed ERP packages target small and medium-size business with assurances that these software systems will bring big-business efficiencies at reasonable rates, (SAP Solutions, 2001). -

If you can have the software installed on your laptop and bring it with you to the seminar, we can work through the examples and exercises together. SAS will run in Windows® Vista, 7, 8, and 10, and on UNIX. To run SAS on a Mac® you can run SAS University, which is a limited version that is free and runs virtually on OS X http://www.sas.com/en_us/software/university-edition/download-software.html#os-x or you will need to log in remotely to a Windows or UNIX system or use a desktop virtualization program such as Parallels®. SAS is an integrated software system that enables you to perform a variety of tasks.
