Current research projects focus on Jane Addams as a practitioner and theorist of political friendship; Aristotelian prudence and friendship; contemporary applications of these concepts to political leadership and political ethics; gender and political community,

Jane Addams on Inequality and Political Friendship. Book that portrays Jane Addams as a first-rate practitioner of political friendship among unequal parties. Her experiential accounts expand and update political friendship beyond contemporary applications that focus narrowly on democratic citizens and neglect the challenge of unequal transnational relations.
