INTRODUCTION

This report summarizes staff publications in 1994. Publications for this year are listed in two categories "Reviewed publications" are reviewed by world authorities on the relevant topics and are published in recognized scientific journals. "Other publications" are available from the authors. Please consult the list of scientific staff included in this publication for the locations and mailing address of the authors. Headquarters for Biological Sciences Branch is the Pacific Biological Station in Nanaimo. Other facilities operated by the Branch include the West Vancouver Laboratory, the Cultus Lake Laboratory and the Rosewall Creek Experimental Hatchery. Staff are also located on the waterfront in Vancouver and Prince Rupert, atthe Institute of Ocean Sciences in Sidney, and at Regional DFO Headquarters in Vancouver.
