Victoria Linchong is a Taiwanese-American actor, writer, director & producer working in both theater and film, whose credits include two OBIE Award winning productions. She is the founder and main creative force of Direct Arts, an intercultural theater and film company dedicated to producing plays and films that explore the intersection between cultures. The company has received support from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, Lower Manhattan Cultural, Asian American Arts Alliance and the Puffin Foundation. BIG FLOWER EATER A young Taiwanese woman pastes her Theater for the New City, 2013 Full length play grandmother's fortunes on her bathroom wall, setting Red Room, 2011 (Workshop) off a host of otherworldly activities in her small Lower East Side lavatory. A multimedia piece on shamanism in three Asian cultures – Hmong, Korean and Taiwanese – devised by Victoria Linchong, with Kim Chinh and Helen Kim.
