To tell the story of a life, you may enrich your service by the reading of a favorite poem, through the soft glow of candlelight, or with memory tables that display items of personal interest, a soft ball glove or fishing rod, knitting needles, even a bowling shirt. These kinds of special, personal memorabilia are a great help in telling the story of a life. GENERAL INFORMATION: DISCLOSURES The goods and services shown within are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will Include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected. The list does not include prices for certain items that you may ask us to buy for you, such as cemetery services, flowers and newspaper notices. In 1998, the Parke's purchased the historic Twin Falls Cemetery. The Parke family operated the funeral home and cemetery for 10 years. In the summer of 2007, Mike and Catherine sold the funeral home due to Mike's failing health. In Septem- ber of 2008, Mike received a liver transplant and began recovering. In May of 2009, the Parke's repurchased the funeral home. The Parke Family is proud to once again be able to assist families in the Magic Valley. Memorial Jewelry. We can arrange for a small portion of the cremated remains, a lock of hair, or earth from the grave site to be enclosed in a decorative piece of jewelry or other remembrance item. Military Honors. To honor a person's service in defense of our freedoms, we frequently arrange for our nation's veterans to be remembered with special military observances. Depending on the branch of service, military detachments may provide a color guard, musicians, gun salute, ceremonial flag fold and presentation. Memorial Release. A beautiful and symbolic way to say goodbye and remember the life lived. Releases can be part of a memorial or grave side service. Stationary and Memorial Folders. As a lasting tribute to your loved one, we offer personalized stationary packages including items such as memory folders, thank you cards, and prayer or remembrance cards. Invite Friends to Speak. You might ask one or more friends to offer special recollections, or read some of the notes or poems written by other people attending the service. Create a Memory Table or Memory Board. A display of personal items or photos help people understand and appreciate the life that has been lived. Video Tribute. A montage of family photos set to appropriate musical accompaniment can be a perfect enhancement to a visitation, funeral or memorial service. Special Music. Everyone has a special song or piece of music that carries deep associations and memories. Special musical selections can enhance a service in a way that evokes a certain emotional response. You may wish to have recorded music, or even a live performance. Themed Services. Whether her favorite pastime was gardening, or he was a military veteran, the service can be themed with special props and articles that truly reflect the person and the life. Our firm even offers a horse drawn hearse for those who desire the utmost in traditional services. Living Online Tribute. We also create a living memorial to your loved one on our website. This memorial includes the life tribute as written by the family, in addition photos can be loaded on to the site along with video and audio tributes. It is an everlasting memorial to your loved one that can be viewed by anyone accessing our website. Our price list includes prices for service and all merchandise available at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home. Mike D. Parke Memory Tree Owner Why Should Parke's Supervise the Funeral or Memorial Service? When a death occurs, your primary responsibility is to yourself and the ones you love. There are a number of tasks which require attention simultaneously. Regardless of the day or hour, Parke’s is always prepared to respond to your needs quickly and competently. The funeral director’s main function is to assist you with the necessary details of the funeral process. Among the services funeral directors provide are: **Scheduling of all necessary services **Securing necessary permits/death certificates **Assistance filing life insurance **Coordinate with clergy, and musicians. **Coordinate details with cemetery **Secure military honors if applicable **Reserve seating for the family **Reserve and supervise parking **Arranging for burial or cremation **Receive guests **Receiving and arranging floral tributes **Supervision of funeral or memorial service **Design and print memorial folders and/or prayer cards **Placing Obituary and Funeral Notices in the newspaper **Distribute all honoraria to clergy, soloists and musicians **Provide equipment such as umbrellas, flower stands, easels, and memorial tables **Coordinate all arrangements for transportation, funeral service, and burial for out-of-town or other distant service locations. 1. Professional Services of Funeral Director and Staff a. Services of the Funeral Director and Staff.....................................................$1,495.00 This is our fee for our basic services and overhead and will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. This charge includes but is not limited to, arrangement conference; coordination with cemetery, clergy, newspapers and/or crematory for final disposition of the deceased, procurement, preparation and filing of necessary notices to newspapers and state agencies; general administrative and record keeping expense; and general overhead expenses, such as maintenance, equipment, inventory and insurance costs and governmental compliance. This charge is included in all of our package offerings. It does not include fees for outside vendors, such as newspapers, florists, state or county death certificates, cemeteries, or any other vendor we may purchase additional items for you or your family. b. Anatomical Donations....................................................................................$2,195.00 This charge includes basic services of funeral director and staff, transportation of remains to the funeral home, refrigeration of the remains for a period not to exceed 48 hours. Additional fees may apply for transportation outside local area. c. Disinterment of Remains: professional services of staff............................$1000.00 d. Extended Storage of Cremated Remains (Over 30 days)……..$100 .00 per month 2. Funeral Home Facilities and Staff These charges include, but are not limited to, use of facilities or equipment; coordination of funeral arrangements; supervision of funeral or memorial services, arrangement and display of flowers; and staff to assist with service. a. Facilities and Staff for Viewing/Visitation/Gathering (Evening Hours) ............ $300.00 b. Facilities and Staff for Viewing/Visitation/Gathering (Day Hours)....................$200.00 c.
