European Ombudsman visits Greece

The European Ombudsman, P. Nikiforos Diamandouros , will visit Greece from 29 September to 6 October. During his visit he will participate in a Council of Europe conference on "Ombudswork for Children" in Athens. He will also meet the President of the Republic of Greece, Karolos Papoulias , the Prime Minister of Greece, Kostas Karamanlis , the President of the Greek Parliament, Anna Benaki-Psarouda , and the leader of the PASOK Party, George Papandreou .
In Thessaloniki, Mr Diamandouros will participate in the 14th annual congress of Eurochambres. His visit will conclude with meetings at the European Agency for Reconstruction and CEDEFOP (European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training).
