COUNCIL Education Maintenance Allowances - Household Income

 Zero - £22,403 (for families with more than one dependent child in the household) £30 per week  Zero - £20,351 (for families with a single dependent child in the household) £30 per week Clothing Grant Clothing grant payments will normally be paid to parents/carers who are in receipt of Income Support or Income Based Job Seekers Allowance or Housing Benefit or Council Tax Rebate (Not Discount) or Employment and Support Allowance (income related) or Working Tax Credit and/or Child Tax Credit. Any other claims will only be considered in exceptional circumstances. Free School Meals All pupils in P1, P2 and P3 in the following primary schools will be entitled to free meals: Auchinairn, Castlehill, Clober, Colquhoun Park, Harestanes, Hillhead, , Merkland, Oxgang, St Flannan’s, St Machan’s and . Free school meals will only be granted to children whose parents/carers are in receipt of either Income Support or Income Based Job Seekers Allowance or *Child Tax Credit or *Working Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit or Employment and Support Allowance (income related) or Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999. Parents/carers who are in receipt of Working Tax Credit and/or Child Tax Credit will qualify for a clothing grant for their child(ren) only if the award letter from the HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) states that their annual income is not greater than £15,276. The tax credit award notice must be submitted as proof of entitlement. Parents/carers who are in receipt of Child Tax Credit only, but who do not receive Working Tax Credit will qualify for free school meals for their child(ren) only if the award letter from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) states that their annual income is not greater than £15,860. Parents/carers who are in receipt of both Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit with an income below £6,420 will qualify for free school meals for their child(ren). Subsidised Residential Trips Given where entitled to free school meals. Individuals who meet the above criteria can purchase an annual PTL Card at a cost of £10.00 for adults and £16.00 for a Family PTL Card. Customers can then access leisure facilities and receive up to a 50% discount across a range of activities.
