Footnotes AMERICAN PHAROAH was away in good order, tucked in to set the pace toward the inside, was shaken up inside the three-eighths marker, responded gallantly and drew away to make every pole a winning one. EFFINEX shadowed the AMERICAN PHAROAH three deep, moved in kind with that one on the far turn, continued on well but was unable to make headway through the lane. HONOR CODE was unhurried into stride, settled at the tail of the field, was put to pressure near the seven-sixteenths pole, made a sweeping move five wide and toiled on to earn the show. KEEN ICE rated back and shifted off the inside, came under pressure a half mile out, dropped to the rail entering the lane, worked back out a bit, and improved position between rivals. TONALIST was rank to place into stride along the inside, leveled into stride midway through the first turn, moved jointly with FROSTED to the inside of EFFINEX inside the half mile marker, was bumped soundly and hit the rail five-sixteenths out, flattened entering the stretch and faded. HARD ACES was allowed to settle four wide, came under a ride entering the second turn, but lacked a response and failed to threaten. FROSTED settled in hand, made a middle move and bid between horses into the far turn, was caught in tight and bumped with TONALIST near the five-sixteenths pole, came up empty thereafter and gave way. GLENEAGLES (IRE) broke slow, angled in to save ground, but failed to respond when called upon.
