Branch membership register reveals a sur 'T prising number of cars with con tinental European coachwork, built in such countries as France, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Italy. Some of these are illustrated on this page. The top car is a Phantom II (16SK) with Henri Chapron three- position drophead coupe coach- SfJ work. The next car down, also a " - drophead, is by Graber on Mk VI Bentley chassis No. B190CF. Next is a left-hand drive Silver Dawn (LSHD22) with saloon coachwork by Ghia. All three of these cars are owned by Branch member Thomas T. Solley of Indiana, U.S.A. The photo of the Graber Mk VI was taken last (northern) autumn when Tom and his wife took it to Switzer land — or perhaps I should say back to Switzerland! It took Best in Class and Best for Elegance in its class at the RREC Annual Rally in England last year. The car in the bottom picture is a 20/25 (GHW75) with limousine coachwork by Pinnock and must surely be the only Dutch-bodied Rolls-Royce in Australia. It is owned by A.C.T. Branch member Ralph Mansfield of Goulburn who has just imported it from England. We look forward to seeing this car on Club outings in the future, though it is conceded that we are unlikely to see the other three cars on this page! Derby not Springfield On page 1358 (6-87) I incorrectly claimed that "Ted Hudson (N.S.W.) unexpectedly brought along (to the Federal Concours) his 1922 Springfield Silver Ghost (154BG)." Keith Wherry has written to point out that he did not and that the car illustrated is in fact 85AG, a Derby Silver Ghost owned by John Lockeridge and June Brad shaw. The car's American appear ance led me into this (uncharac teristic, I hope) lapse into inaccuracy. The smart coachwork x Ms originated on a Packard. Spot the difference Readers would also have easily spotted the deliberate error on p. 1352! The Federal Rally logo on that page is a pre-production proto type and differs from that eventually adopted for the Rally. There will be a small prize for the first letter received by the Editor naming three differences! 1-88 1373 Silver Dawn South Australian member John Bull accompanied Michael Nightin gale and Greg Horsell to last year's Canberra Federal Rally in Michael's Mk. VI (B151JN) and put his con siderable artistic talents to work when, on the return journey, the Bentley was called upon to assist another member's car.
