I am searching for information about Piotr Bobrowicz , Born 1890 in the village of Jablonce located near the town of Wolkolata (Ваўкалата) in the western part of the Russian Empire I have a family tree with names and dates and places of birth and death. I have the birth record and Baptismal record from 1890 church of St John’s the Baptist in Wolkolata. ( I can supply the birth record in Russian from the Belarus national archive in ) I have the birth records and the marriage records of his parents Jan Bobrowicz and Karolina Bobrowicz I am looking for information from 1890 till 1911 when he traveled to the United States. This area was with in the western Russian Empire until 1920 when it became the Republic of until 1939 and it is now in the territory of Belarus. I have maps of the area for reference. I am advised that records for this period and location can be found in the Lithuanian State Archives in

I am looking for document’s and information or records for which I require certified copies. The information is to provide evidence of his living in this geographic area. I am quite sure he resided on his parent’s farm in Jablonce.

The following is a breakdown of information and knowledge that I have

At the time of his birth the area was under the control of the Russian empire until 1920. There are records of his birth parents and siblings living in Jablonce. His parents owned a farm in the village of Jablonce near Wolkolata He was present with his family Jablonce when there was the Russian empire in 1897 Because he was of the age of 20 when he traveled to America perhaps there are lists of military draft. Into the Russian military. I believe that some of this this information will be found in the LITHUANIAN STATE HISTORICAL ARCHIVES as I have written to them and they advised that a researcher could search in the archive for records. Educational records can be found via the link below.

“Based on your provided information, we would like to inform you, that Lithuanian State Historical Archives preserves: Fond Nr. 567 “Vilniaus švietimo apygardos valdyba” chronological range: 1775–1918, volume: series – 27, files – 66611 (https://iaps-pub.archyvai.lt/en/web/guest/aprasupaieska? p_p_id=inventorysearchportlet_WAR_iapsext2&_facesViewIdRender=%2Fforms %2FinventoryView.xhtml?invType=FOND&invId=276594).
