Wednesday, July 4 At Regency Furniture Dear Business Owner, You are invited to participate in this year’s Taste of Charles County, the cornerstone event at Celebrate Charles: A Fun-Filled Fourth, on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Regency Furniture Stadium in Waldorf, . This event will bring together the finest restaurants and caterers in the area to serve some of the most delicious and delectable food and drink Charles County has to offer. Participating businesses will receive a vendor space in the Taste of Charles County tent, two eight-foot tables, two folding chairs, pre-event marketing, and day-of-event promotion at no cost. Vendors should provide tasting- sized portions of two to five menu items and to price them at $1, $2, or $3. Guests will purchase food and drink tick- ets at $1 each and use those tickets to “purchase” your goods. At the end of the event you will turn in all collected tickets to receive a $1 reimbursement per ticket. Vendors should plan to decorate their space to reflect their business and are encouraged to bring menus and coupons for guests to take with them. The Charles County Department of Health does not require yearly permit holders to pay a fee to participate as a Temporary Food Vendor; however, submittal of an application is required. Following a review, which will involve a phone interview at minimum, a letter approving operation at the event will be issued. Such a letter should be posted in lieu of a temporary license. Please allow at least two weeks for this process. Non-yearly permit holders are re- quired to pay appropriate fees and apply for a Temporary Food Establishment License. All forms are available on the Charles County Department of Health website at www.charlescountyhealth.org. We hope that you choose to participate in this event and take advantage of this great marketing opportunity. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact Rachel Reynolds at 301-645-0601 or [email protected]. Very truly yours, COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CHARLES COUNTY, MARYLAND
