What went well in 2013?

lnowair, a nonprofit initiative spreading a more positive attitude amongst the people of , celebrated the Acoming of the New Year in a truly unique fashion. As the world said goodbye to 2013, Alnowair came up with a novel idea to say farewell. They created a special wall at 360 Mall, and left 2013 empty spots on it. The visitors of 360 Mall were then invited to fill up the empty spots with moments and things that went well for them in 2013. As the year dawned, the visitors at 360 Mall gathered to think about the things that went well for them the past year, wrote on stickers and posted them on the wall, a total of 2013 different posts were stuck completing a collage that said “2013”. Each per- son who shared his or her reason for 2013 being a good year got a special wrist band, a reminder to focus on the things that went well. The activity was part of the What Went Well campaign that encouraged people to look at the good aspects of the year and to go forward in a more positive mind frame. “This 2014 we want the people of Kuwait to cultivate a habit to look back at each day and search for the positives. We all are bound to have days where it all goes wrong, and that is when this practice will save us from being pulled into the vortex of negativi- ty and uncertainty” said Campaign Manager Gaya Kruchlik explaining the motive behind the campaign. Alnowair is a nonprofit initiative founded by Sheikha Intisar Salem Al-Sabah, the initiative is driven to spread positive attitude in Kuwait, an attitude that can be a way of living and lead to ful- fillment and happiness.
