With Mathieu Bertrand from HCH

As an international student, finding a job can be challenging at first. It often also means, perhaps doing work that you have never thought of doing. However, there are jobs out there that not only allow you to do work that you will enjoy, but will also fulfil you because they are jobs worth doing. One such experience is becoming a Home Care Hero. Being a hero, the focus is on companionship and non-medical services only, you’ll be providing services that range from going out for a cup of tea, to taking them out to a nightclub! Several students from Greenwich College have been Heroes in the past and some of them are Heroes now, being paid to do a job that rewards them with much more than just money - and also allows them to practice their English too.

That’s three amazing days with the tour where you are directly in contact with nature. It departs from Melbourne, by meeting the guide and the group on the bus. Then the tour starts with a stroll in Otway’s rainforest to find koalas, parrots and kangaroos.

The next thing you will see is the breathtaking 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and London Bridge before having dinner together at the restaurant. The day after you’ll admire the amazing sunrise in Warrnambool coastal walk where horses do some hydrotherapy and seals are just waking up. During the afternoon you’re going to Grampian National Park to learn about the aboriginal culture and history and discover the awesome McKenzie falls. This place is amazing to see wildlife really close, specially Kangaroos, Wallabies and Emus.

For dinner you will have a delicious Aussie BBQ and spend a good time with the people that you met. For the last day, you wake up early and you start with the last walk of the tour. You’ll go to the top of a spectacular point with a stunning lookout. Then the group divides into two: one goes to Adelaide and the other heads back to Melbourne. For those who are going to Adelaide, the trip continues with a stop at the Pink Lake Reserve, which is a stunning place! The trip is almost over with just a few hours before your final stop in Adelaide.
