Notice of Adoption of a document for a Local Development Framework

Regulation 36 Adopted Core Strategy Development Plan Document

Oadby and Wigston Borough Council adopted their Core Strategy Development Plan Document on 28 September 2010. An Adoption Statement in accordance with Regulations 24 and 36 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Development) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 has been prepared.

The Adopted Core Strategy Development Plan Document is a strategic document setting out the vision, objectives and spatial planning strategy for the Borough of Oadby and Wigston and contains policies to facilitate sustainable delivery. The Core Strategy will form part of the Oadby and Wigston Local Development Framework and will replace relevant parts of the existing Oadby and Wigston Local Plan 1999 (as amended 2004).

Copies of the Adopted Core Strategy Development Plan Document, the Sustainability Appraisal and Adoption Statement will be available for public inspection at Oadby & Wigston Borough Council Offices, Station Road, Wigston, LE18 2DR between the hours of 8.45am and 4.45 pm on Mondays to Thursdays and 8.45am and 4.15pm on Fridays. They will also be available at Oadby Library, Wigston Library, Library and online at www.oadby- wigston.gov.uk

Any person aggrieved by the Core Strategy Development Plan Document may make an application under Section 113 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 to the High Court on the grounds that the document is not within the appropriate powers and/ or a procedural requirement has not been complied with. Any such application must be made not later that the end of the period of six weeks starting on which the Core Strategy Development Plan Document was adopted.
