When you drive from Ranikhet to Majkhali, the first landmark that you have to look for is the Birla Girl's School. From Birla Girl's School drive towards Golu temple. From Golu temple there is a path on the right hand side. At the beginning of the path on the left hand side there is a dirty mauve pink house. By Air Pantnagar Airport is the nearest airport to Majkhali. Regular domestic flight service is available to Pantnagar from Delhi and Pithoragarh. The airport is around 121 km from Majkhali. Taxis from outside the airport can be availed to reach Majkhali.

By Train Kathgodam is the nearest railway station that is located at a distance of 80 km from Ranikhet. Kathgo- dam railhead is well connected from all major cities and towns so people can reach at this railway station and from outside station, people can take taxi or cab to reach Majkhali smoothly.

By Road Ranikhet establishes a viable connection through roads at all seasons, to places like Haldwani, Bhow- ali and Khairna. There are direct buses available from Delhi (359 km), Nainital (56 km), Kathgodam (75 km) and Ramnagar (96 km). Cab facility from cities like Haldwani and Nainital are also available for Ranikhet. Majkhali is 12 kms from Ranikhet and we are on google maps and guests can easily search and navigate. The drive from Ranikhet takes approximately 30 minutes. Majkhali near Ranikhet in Uttarakhand. Within the estate are two homes built lovingly and painstakingly out of stone, wood, joy and tears by the artist Nalini Tyabji and her husband,

Hindal Tyabji . If there is a Seclude property which offers total peace, tranquillity and is far removed from too much habitation, it is Seclude Wildside. The road to reach it is rocky but as the estate opens out to you, you wonder at the marvel of a thousand plants, flowers, trees and the many birds that make it their home.

The two houses in the estate are luxuriously furnished with the best furniture, furnishings, linen, kitchens, nooks, books, lighting, study tables, art, artefacts and beautiful objects. They are bespoke in the true sense of the word. The estate also has a small prayer shrine, a big outdoor kitchen with a bar and a gazebo overlooking the Himalayas, multiple gardens, staff quarters, ample parking and so many places to just sit, read, pontificate and be one with the wonders of nature.

SUGAR PLUM FAIRY Walk in to a large hall with a planter chair in the lobby, sun streaming through the open windows and you will reach the living room. A lovely space with comfortable sectional sofas, wing armchairs, LED television, a fireplace, a dining table for six, and a library full of books. It is plush and opulent. The ground floor houses a big bedroom (Jackie) with its own attached bath, dressing room area and a big bay window to sit and sip your morning tea.

Climb up the wooden stairs and you will reach the TV lounge and the first floor study. More sunlight beaming through the French windows welcomes you and this floor also has the second bedroom of the house (Candy) with the very same features of the other bedroom. JACKIE

The Sugar Plum Fairy houses a big 275 sq ft bed- room, Jackie with a king size bed and can accom- modate an extra mattress (additional cost) as well. It is situated on the ground floor and has an ensuite bath, dressing room area and a big bay window to sit and sip your morning tea.

Common study

The ground floor harbors a study with a selec- tion of books and a writing desk. It makes for a great, quiet spot to read or pen thoughts. The study is open to all guests.

Common living area

The ground floor has two common lounging areas. One that is adjacent to the dinning area and one that is in the foyer with French win- dows, overlooking the sprawling outdoor area. The living common living room also has a Bokhara to warm up those chilly winter days.

Common dining area

Just off the common living area, is the common dining area seating six people. It is the ’Seclude Table’ for the property, offering breakfast, deli- cious homestyle meals, a la carte options and snacks. CANDY The location of the room (on the first floor) provides an expansive suite-like experience. As you climb up the wooden stairs, you reach the TV lounge, the first floor study, and the second bedroom of Sugar Plum Fairy, Candy. It is a large 275 sq ft bedroom, with a king size bed and can accommodate an extra mat- tress (additional cost) as well. It has an ensuite bath, dressing room area and a big bay window to sit and sip your morning tea.

Candy gives you a feeling of space as well as warmth - there is comfortable seating to sit and enjoy the feeling of being away from all things hectic into a peaceful paradise. As a Candy guest, you step out from your room into the spacious area - the first floor lounge and adjoining study.

First floor lounge

Primarily used by Candy guests, this large lounge provides comfortable seating and views of the estate through its many large windows. It make for an ideal space to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The first floor lounge also have a TV, should you want to check in on the world outside of Seclude Wildside.

The first floor, primarily used by Candy guests, has its own study with big windows to let in ample light and offer views of the wonderful estate, housing Seclude Wildside. A space to bring out your creativity or the writer in you. LITTLE JOE

Little Joe is a stand-alone studio cottage in a private estate with a temple, gazebo and sprawling lawns. It is a huge 450 square feet bedroom featuring a king size bed and an additional single bed. It can accommodate an addi- tional mattress (additional cost). WHO GUIDELINES AND PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES

Seclude places the well being of everyone as their top priority and has therefore adapted the following measures as per WHO, Hospitality Industry and the local authorities during these tough times.

Spaces are being setup keeping social distancing in mind, so that you don’t have to share your private holiday space with any other guest

All entrances and outside areas are sanitized with a disinfectant on a regular basis

All high touch points are cleaned frequently with alcohol and sodium hypochlorite solution

All our property managers have been trained by qualified medical professionals to ensure that all necessary steps for COVID prevention are being followed Body temperature of all staff members is monitored on a regular basis and they wear face masks at all times Sanitizers have been placed at entrances and critical contact points and all staff members wash their hands with soap and water frequently Travel history of all guests is taken at the time of booking

Bookings: All our guests are required to pre-pay for their bookings through our sales office or through their chosen travel agency (online or otherwise). This is the only way to guarantee the reservation. Required security deposits for bookings also need to be prepaid in order to guarantee the reservation.

Processing of refunds: For bookings with deposits, a full inspection of the accommodation(s) needs to be done before property authorization for refund is sent to the Head Office. From the time a refund is authorized by the Head Office, Seclude takes up to 10 working days to process a refund.

Arrival: Check-in time: 2 pm Check-out time: 12 noon

Seclude properties range from two rooms to fifteen rooms and due to the popularity of our brand are normally fully booked. Though we’d like to accommodate requests for early check-ins and late check-out, it is rare for us to be able to do so (additional charges below).

Early check-in is subject to availability and cannot be confirmed in advance. Extra charges apply as below:

Before 6 am: 100% charges for one day as per Rack Rate for the room of the previous day*. Between 6 am -12 noon: 30% charges as per Rack Rate for the room of the previous day*. Between 12 noon - 2 pm: Complimentary*. *based on availability, and prior notification/payment.

Late Check-ins: Seclude properties do not have a 24hour reception/front desk. In order to provide our guests with the best service possible and consider the well-being of our staff, our services pause at 10 pm to resume at 8 am the next day. We have a strict, all staff retire by 11 pm policy so that they recharged and ready to serve our guests the following day.

There are no late check-ins after 10 pm. (Our kitchen takes the last order at 10 pm as well). Advance requests will be considered on a case by case basis with charges starting at Rs. 1000/- for making special arrange- ments for check-ins after 10pm.

Late Check-outs: We require our guests to check-out no later than 12 noon, to ensure that we have adequate time to prepare the room for our next guests. We appreciate your thoughtfulness and courtesy towards the incoming Seclude guests. Between 12 noon - 5pm: 30% charges as per Rack Rate for the room of the next day*. After 5 pm: 100% charges for one day as per Rack Rate for the room of the next day*. *based on availability, and prior notification/payment.

OUR POLICIES  ON PROPERTY

Smoking in the rooms is not allowed. Hukkah in the rooms is not allowed (Hukkah is not allowed on any property in Himachal Pradesh - as per government regulations). There is no room service for meals - only a limited snack menu at select locations. All homestyle meals are served in the dining area during the time stated on the menu. There is a minimum of Rs. 1000/ surcharge for advance requests for serving a meal in any other area (outside of the dining room) - available only at the Managers’ discretion during regular meal hours. No outside food is permitted.Guests do not have access to our kitchen and are not allowed to cook on property. Seclude properties have standardized menu and fully staffed kitchens. In addition, specially curated meals are available for groups with advance notification/planning. We care about your well being, if you have special needs, food allergies etc, please notify us in advance. We can discuss the possibili- ties to accommodate your dietary requirements. Our last order for food is 10pm, and all staff retire by 11pm. (with the exception of NYE). We provide daily housekeeping service. For your use, we have selected handcrafted Osadhi natural guest toiletries which are refreshed as needed during your stay, but not more than once in a day. Should you require additional product, you can purchase them via the property Manager at the listed price on the product. Following our eco-friendly, water conservation policy - we change our bed linens and towels every two days, should you want it daily, we can accommodate your request for nominal charge of Rs. 450/- per service. Please notify the Manager to arrange additional service. Should you have a fireplace in your room, at an additional charge of Rs. 450/ our staff will light it for you - it lasts for about 1.5 hours and will be put out no later than 10pm by our staff. This is for your safety and that of the property. Guests are required to adhere to the noise ordinance policy as per individual property. Guests are required to wear appropriate casual attire during their stay and behave in a manner that is respectful to other guests, our staff and our property - Not adhering to a decency code on any Seclude property or a violation of our policies can result in removal from property without a refund. Standard Rate (SR) Cancellation Policy : In case of cancellation, out of the total tariff of the entire period booked: For period more than 15 days before the date of booking- 100% refund For period of 7 days to 14 days before the date of booking- 50% Refund PLUS 50% “Hotel Credit” to be used within 3 months from the cancellation date, on any Seclude property. For a period less than 7 days from the date of booking- No refund. * Seclude Covid19 Policy - In case of Government advisory changing and we are unable to take guests on arrival due to Covid 19 rules of the departing state of the guest or the rules of the state where the hotel is situated, the booking amount will be adjusted as a “Hotel Credit” which can be used for any future booking dates (subject to availability) for a period on 6 months from the date of the original check in date.

B. Non Refundable Rate (NRR) (Discounted Rate – on DISCOUNT OF %) Cancellation Policy : In case of cancellation of a booking made of a Non Refundable Rate amount, the total tariff is to be paid in advance at the time of confirming the booking and is non- refundable. * Seclude Covid19 Policy - In case of Government advisory changing and we are unable to take guests on arrival due to Covid 19 rules of the departing state of the guest or the rules of the state where the hotel is situated, the booking amount will be adjusted as a “Hotel Credit” which can be used for any future booking dates (subject to availability) for a period on 6 months from the date of the original check in date. Note: Any “Hotel Credit” will be adjusted against the rates applicable on the revised date of travel and for the Seclude Property selected.
