Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs -Leste Food Insecure and Flood Prone Districts Date: 03 December 2007

The map shows areas at risk from flooding and districts that have OECUSSI recently received food security shocks that made them more food insecure compared to other districts. Two types of flooding were identified, overbank flooding and inundation. Historical data from BAQUI 2001, obtained from the National Directorate for Disaster CITRANA Management (NDDM) and overlaid with SRTM elevation OESILO data (90metre resolution), 100m interval contours and the main river network layer. Reference was also made to the NDDMs ATAURO preliminary hazard mapping of 2002.
