THE TYLER MUISE MVP AWARD

2019-2020 Tyler Muise MVP Award Winner: William Lachenal

The Tyler Muise MVP Award celebrates and acknowledges the unique ways in which students with special needs positively impact an interscholastic athletic program. Students like William Lachenal give their time and effort to enhance the experience of all those around them while asking for nothing in return. As such, an acknowledgment of their dedication to sport and the relationships and inclusivity they foster should be recognized and rewarded. The OCIAA is very proud to honor this year’s recipient, Mr. William Lachenal from Minisink Valley High School.

William was a member of the Boys Swimming and Diving team and the Varsity Football team this past year at Minisink. His coaches and teammates describe him as one of the hardest working members of the team. William is the intangible piece of the team. Most days, he stays after practices to work on his kicking skills and working in the weight room. The student athletes in the Minisink Valley School District have learned valuable life lessons and established substantial relationships because of the character and the “never give up” attitude that William brings to the table. William is an extremely positive influence and is proud to be a Minisink Valley Warrior. Congratulations to the 2019-2020 Tyler Muise MVP Award winner, Mr. William Lachenal.

The OCIAA is proud to recognize William as this year’s Tyler Muise MVP Award winner. Congratulations, William!

Thank you to the sponsors of the Tyler Muise MVP Award:
