Picture credit: Paul Mohan / SPORTSFILE 4 Jimmy kehoe A gentleman and true gael, Jimmy Kehoe passed away on Wednesday January 23th 2013 at just 55 years of age. Jimmy had been an active member of the GAA from a young age and won his first title – Rackard League Football in 1971. Jimmy won Juvenile with the All Whites in ’74 and in 1976 at the age of 20 he won both Intermediate Football Championship and Under 21 Football with Half-Way-House \ Bunclody; he won an Intermediate Hurling title in 1982. The highlights of Jimmy’s playing career were the 1982 and 1985 Senior Football Championship wins. Many say he played his best match one August Sunday in 1982 in Bellefield in the County Semi Final against the Duffry – the day after his own wedding. In fact Jimmy and his wife Geraldine were flown by helicopter from the pitch after the match to catch their flight to their where he dreamed of leading a horse honeymoon. into the winners enclosure at Jimmy played inter county football, Cheltenham.
