Ngunguru Community Skatepark

A quick update for parents and children regarding the Skatepark located at the Ngunguru Sports and Recrea- tion Complex.

Firstly, it is important to understand that the Skatepark is a Community Project which has

been strongly supported by the Coun- cil. The Skatepark is not a facility owned and run by the Sports Complex.

For the Skatepark to operate as was intended it needs the support and help from parents of the children enjoy- ing this great community facility. Help will shortly be needed with a couple of working bees to enhance the - overall amenities at the Skatepark. If you are able to give a couple of hours of your time to help develop and grow this wonderful facility for the youth of our commu- nity it would be much appreciated. Also, if you are interested in being part of the group that is planning the future development of this community Skatepark we would love to have your input. Siren Testing

The Northland Tsunami Siren Net- work will be tested at the end of daylight saving as part of the usu- - al bi-annual testing programme.

The sirens will sound at 12 mid- – day for 10 minutes and again at 12.30pm for 30 seconds on Easter Sunday 4 April 2021. If you happen to live near one of the sirens it would be helpful if you could let me know if the light

at the top or one of the two sirens are not working and the location of the siren. There are identifica- tion numbers on the top of each box.

Many thanks
