TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – ROAD, NORTH

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Winchester City Council as agents for County Council will on the 7th January 2009 pursuant to section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 close Fareham Road, North Boarhunt as described below to allow for carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out. The Council considers that the closure of the road as specified below should come in to force without delay.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: FAREHAM ROAD, NORTH BOARHUNT from its junction with the B2177 Southwick Road to a point 150 metres north of that junction.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: From the southern point of the closure west via the B2177 Southwick Road, north via Trampers lane, east via Goathouse Lane, south via Shoot Hill, south-west via Fareham Road to the northern point of the closure.

From the northern point of the closure north-east via Fareham Road, north via Shoot Hill, west via Goathouse Lane, south via Trampers Lane, east via the B2177 Southwick Road to the southern point of the closure.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including Wednesday 7th January 2009 for a period of five days or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day. Works are expected to be carried out over night between 20:00 and 05:00.)

Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
