NOTICE OF RACE Notice of Race numbering is following the Racing Rules of (RRS) Appendix K numbering. Some paragraph numbers are intentionally left out.

1 RULES 1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing. 1.2 RRS G3 applies for loaned and chartered boats having permission of race committee. 1.3 Race Committee may allow use of sail identification that do not comply with the requirements of RRS Appendix G. This changes RRS 77. 1.4 RRS appendix P and T applies for all classes. 1.5 If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence.

2 ADVERTISING 2.1 Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.

3 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY 3.1 The regatta is open to all boats of the 2.4mR, 505, Europe, Finn, F18, , Laser Radial, Laser 4.7, Melges 24, Snipe, Star, Zoom8 classes 3.2 Eligible boats for all classes may enter by completing the electronic entry form at http://www.manage2sail.com web site and submitting it together with the required fee as stated in NoR 5.1 by 1.8.2021. 3.3 Late entries may be accepted, on discretion of the Organising Authority, with fees raised 50% as to the initial ones. 3.4 Each competitor shall be a member of a club affiliated to its national authority, and, member of her national class association of the respective class. 3.5 Entry fee includes a meal after the sailing on each day of the regatta.

7 SCHEDULE 7.1 For all classes, the scheduled number of racing days is 2 and races 6: Friday 13 .8.20 21 1800–2000 Registration, measurement and inspection Saturday 14.8.2021 0800–1000 Registration, measurement and inspection 1155 First warning signal, 3 races Sunday 15.8.2021 1055 First warning signal, 3 races 1600 Prize giving ceremony, after protest handling

7.3 On the last day of the regatta no warning signal will be made after 1500 7.4 One additional race per day may be sailed if the weather forecast predicts that the scheduled races the next day will be unlikely to be sailed or when the event is behind the schedule.

8 MEASUREMENTS 8.1 Each boat shall produce a valid measurement certificate. In addition the measurements mentioned in Appendix 1 maybe taken.

9 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS Sailing Instructions will be available on Manage2Sail Airisto Regatta website Thursday 12.8.2021 at 12:00 and at the race office during event registration.

10 VENUE 10.1 Race courses are located on North-Airisto (Chart no. 26), Appendix 2. 10.2 Race harbour will be at Turun Pursiseura harbor.

11 THE COURSES The courses to be sailed are Windward-Leeward or Triangle or Trapezoid type

13 SCORING When fewer than 5 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores. When 5 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.

14 SUPPORT BOATS Every boat that is moored in race harbour shall be registered at Race Office and are required to carry identification supplied by Race Office, and to function as security vessels according to the instructions of the Regatta Safety Officer. Support boats shall be launched at TPS harbour, see appendix 3.

15 BERTHING Boats shall be kept in their assigned places while they are in the boat park and harbour.

16 HAUL-OUT RESTRICTIONS Keelboats shall not be hauled out during the regatta except with and according to the terms of prior written permission of the race committee.

18 RADIO COMMUNICATION Except in an emergency, a boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones.

19 PRIZES Yacht Club of Turku prizes will be awarded for each class following the Finnish Sailing and Boating Federation scheme.

20 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.

21 INSURANCE Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance, with 250.000 € minimum coverage.
