Message from the Director

Are you ready for a summer experience that is out of this world?

The Summer at Pembroke Hill program does not confine learning to the walls of a classroom because we know learning can take place anywhere and everywhere. The sky is the limit! Instead we encourage our classes to go outside, across the street, on a bus and even across town. We engage with the community that surrounds us, and Attendance/Summer open our doors inviting students between the ages of 2 Programs Help Line and 18 years to join us. 816-936-1321

12 The Pembroke Hill School | www.pembrokehill.org Coterie School for Theatre Exploration Pembroke Hill is proud to partner with The Coterie School for Theatre Exploration. The courses offered this summer are creative drama and acting classes focused on the process rather than the production. In our theatre classes, professional teaching artists use theatre games, improvisations, acting excercises and scene work to help young actors discover what it means to respond truthfully and believably. In drama classes for our younger students, actors flex their imaginations by participating in theatre games, visual arts, music and improvisation that emphasize the importance of storytelling and collaboration. Participation in all of our classes builds self-esteem and confidence in creativity, active listening and concentration. Most youth in professional Coterie main stage productions are cast from our classes because of the relationships we develop with our students. Classes offered Summer 2019:
