LABANC DEPOSITS... Kevin Labanc extended his scoring streak on February 14 against the Capitals, tallying a goal in his third consecutive game. In that span, Labanc has found the back of the net five times, including his first career hat trick (2/9 @ EDM). During the last four games, he is shooting 83.3%, scoring his five goals on the first five shots he took in those games before adding a sixth unsuccessfully.

TOP OF THE CLASS...The Sharks have been one of the NHL's best teams in the league this season, sporting a 35-17-7 record (77 pts), which is T-second among NHL clubs. The Sharks offense also ranks third in goals-for per game (3.63) along with the sixth-ranked PP-unit, clicking on 24.0% of their opportunities this season. Since the start of the 2019 calendar year, the Sharks sport a 14-4-0 record (28 pts), which is T-fifth in the NHL and second in the West. San Jose has scored 74 goals, second in the league, outscoring their opponents 31-17 at SAP Center.

No Sharks player has more than 15 percent of the team's total goal production (214) this season and only three skaters have accumulated more than 10 percent of the scoring (Pavelski, Hertl, Kane). Of the combined individual player points for San Jose (592), only Brent Burns (64 pts, 10.81%) has accumulated more than 10 percent of that total.

DOMINANT DUO…San Jose has two of the top five assist-producers among defensemen in the NHL in Brent Burns (53) and Erik Karlsson (41). Since 12/1, the blueliners have combined for 58 assists in 33 team games, logging a total of 14 multi-assist contests. Burns achieved his 50th assist on 2/7 at CGY to become the seventh defenseman in NHL history to earn 50 assists in 55 team games or fewer, being the first to do it since S. Zubov in 1993-94 with NYR. This season, Burns currently leads defensemen in assists, points (64) and is T-sixth in goals. Among NHL skaters, Burns is third in assists. Previously 12/7-1/8, Karlsson recorded assists in 14 consecutive appearances and became the fifth defenseman in history to do so. Dating to the start of the 2013-14 season, the Sharks sport the leading assist and point producers among defensemen (Karlsson, 313a and 399pts; Burns 272a and 390pts).

1,000 WINS...The San Jose Sharks earned their 1,000th win all time (1,009-846-121-149) in the 3-2 victory over Vegas on 1/10/19, with Joonas Donskoi scoring the GWG, assisted by Tomas Hertl and Evander Kane. San Jose became the third fastest club to reach 1,000 wins in NHL history per Elias (2,112 games) and joined 12 other teams since the start of the 1991 season to register 1,000 or more wins. Since the format shift in 2013, the Sharks are third among Western Conference teams in wins (263-158-48, 61.2%) and T- seventh in the NHL.

JUMBO SIZED HISTORY...2/11 at VAN, Joe Thornton passed S. Doan and J. Bucyk (1,540) for 15th on the all-time games played list and passed G. Howe (1,049) for ninth on the all-time assist list. 2/14 vs. WSH, Thornton passed T. Selanne (1,457) for 15th on the NHL's all-time points lists. 2/7 at CGY, Joe Thornton recorded his 1,000th point as a Shark, becoming the second skater to do so with the franchise. 12/31 at CGY, Thornton logged his 1,525th career NHL game to pass B. Shanahan for 17th on the all-time games played list. 11/13 vs NSH, Thornton scored his 400th career NHL goal to become the seventh player in NHL history to achieve 1,500 games, 400 goals and 1,000 assists. Among other milestones, he is seven games from A. Delvecchio (1,550) for 14th on the all-time games played list.

GAME OF JONES...Martin Jones earned an eight game win streak from 12/27-1/15/19 (8-0-0), tying his career high set 12/3-12/21/13 (8-0-0). Jones is currently second among NHL goaltenders in wins (28). Over his last 14 starts, Jones has allowed two goals or fewer 10 times and leads all goaltenders in wins since the start of December (19-6-1).

IVAN CHEKHOVICH (Baie-Comeau, QMJHL)...(2017 NHL Draft; 7th round, 212th overall) Chekhovich set a career-high in points in a single game on 12/31 with seven points (2g, 5a), to become the first player this season with at least seven points in one contest. He was named QMJHL Player of the week for the third time from 12/3-12/9 and has also been named CHL Player of the Week twice in 2018-19. Chekhovich (54GP; 37g, 53a) is 3rd in points and assists and 5th in goals among QMJHL skaters.

JOACHIM BLICHFELD (Portland, WHL)...(2016 NHL Draft; 7th round, 210th overall) Blichfeld was named WHL POTM for December, earning 26 points (13g, 13a) in 11 games. Among WHL skaters, Blichfeld leads in goals (48) and points (98) and t-seventh in assists (50). Blichfeld reached the 90 point mark in his 50th game and was the first CHL skater to reach 90 points and 40 goals (45th game).

RYAN MERKLEY (Peterborough, OHL)...(2018 NHL Draft; 1st round, 21st overall) Merkley has played in 50 games this season and has 61 points (11g, 50a). Merkley ranks T-fifth among OHL skaters in assists and is second among defensemen in points. He debuted with the Petes 12/16 and recorded three assists.

ZACH EMOND (Rouyn-Noranda, QMJHL)...(2018 NHL Draft; 6th round, 176th overall) Emond leads the QMJHL in GAA (1.81), SV% (.930) and SO (6), min. 15 games.
