I would like to express my deep gratitude to the committee and staff that granted me the University of Sydney Travelling Scholarship, which has supported me for the last two years. I was awarded this scholarship in 2006 to study music performance at Yale University. I graduated with a master’s degree in music in May 2008 and am now continuing my studies in Yale’s doctoral program. I am the first guitarist to be accepted in over 27 years and the degree will be incredibly useful to me in my career development, not to mention enabling me to spend two more years at Yale. I cannot express enough gratitude to the University of Sydney for supporting an experience that I will never forget, and an education that will shape my life and career.”
