Wylie ISD Education Foundation Scholarships For Seniors Award Ceremony

Includes Wylie High School, Wylie East High School, and to be announced at commencement.

Wylie ISD Education Foundation works to fund Grants For Teachers and Scholarships For Seniors. For the 2020 award year, $65,500 in scholarships will go to 73 seniors. This year awards range from $250 to $2,500. Seniors of Wylie High School will receive 33 of these awards equaling $32,625. Seniors of Wylie East High School will receive 37 of these awards equaling $32,875. Achieve Academy has two $1,000 scholarships and a $1,250 scholarship.

Eleven scholarships were added this year and three more increased in value. Our community loves our seniors and values the pursuit of education. This is great news for our winners this year and in years to come.

1LT Robert F. Welch III Memorial Scholarship

1st Lt. Robert F. Welch III was a 2003 graduate of Wylie High School and an Ordnance Officer in the Army. He loved his country and paid the ultimate sacrifice when he lost his life in April 2011 while in Afghanistan. This scholarship goes to a student who exemplifies the same determined “never give up” spirit that Rob did. This year’s $625 scholarships are awarded to

Go Green

The Wylie ISD After-School Enrichment programs provide a safe and nurturing environment where students can learn new things and follow their interests beyond the regular classroom. After school programs remunerate funds to the District based on a per child participation fee that funds a scholarship to help Wylie ISD graduates continue to pursue their interests and desire to further their education at the college or vocational level.
