February 12, 2018 Leanne Marten, Regional Forester Objection February 12, 2018 Leanne Marten, Regional Forester Objection Reviewing Officer U.S. Forest Service Northern Region 26 Fort Missoula Road Missoula, MT 59804 Submitted via email to [email protected] Re: OBJECTION - Flathead Forest Plan To Regional Forester Marten: This is an objection to the U.S. Forest Service’s decision to select Alternative B Modified for the Flathead forest plan revision. As required by 36 C.F.R. 219.54(c), the lead objector’s name, address, and telephone number or email: Marla Fox 80 SE Madison, Suite 210 Portland, OR 97214 (651) 434-7737 [email protected] The undersigned submitted timely comments on the Flathead forest plan revision draft environmental impact statement (DEIS) on October 3, 2017. The comments supported revising the Flathead National Forest Plan to account for changes in conditions and demands since 1986. We urged the Forest Service to draft a plan (1) with strong habitat direction to ensure survival and recovery of imperiled grizzly bears, bull trout, Canada lynx, and wolverine based on best available science, (2) that ensures connectivity with surrounding federal public lands and resiliency in the face of climate change, and (3) that prioritizes our wild resources for future generations instead of increasing off-road vehicle and snowmobile use on the Forest. We object to the draft plan because it falls well short of what is necessary to adequately protect wildlife and wild places on the Flathead. For example, it eliminates road density standards essential to maintaining grizzly bear populations and protecting water quality for imperiled bull trout. It fails to account for best available science showing very real, harmful impacts to species like lynx and wolverine from motorized use. It fails to designate all roadless areas as recommended Wilderness. And it lacks direction toward a smaller, financially sustainable future road system. To resolve this objection, the Forest Service should revise its plan to ensure a future for the Flathead that protects imperiled wildlife and wild places. Sincerely, Marla Fox Rewilding Attorney On behalf of: 4, 092 concerned citizens (names start on next page) Page 2 Suzanne a'Becket Ramiro Abal 21163 Patriot Way, , 9405 Fontainebleau Blvd, , Cupertino, CA 95014 Miami, FL 33172 [email protected] [email protected] ( (786) 224-2898 Peter Abbrecht Kathy Abby Mary Able 1352 Steamboat Run Rd, , 2535 Paintbrush Dr., , 535-000 Little Valley Road, , Shepherdstown, WV 25443 Twin Falls, ID 83301 McArthur, CA 96056 [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] (304) 876-7013 (208) 421-4575 (530) 123-4567 Lauren Abrahamson Gordon Abrams sally abrams 22785 SW Hillsboro HWY, , 649 Bugbee Street Apt 31, , 138 cortland avenue, , Newberg, OR 97132-9414 White River Junction, VT 05001-2911 san francisco, CA 94110 [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] (503) 201-1806 (802) 280-1744 (415) 824-6216 Sarah Abrell Deborah Accos Caryn Ackerman 4374 Stanford St, , 8888 collins avenue, , 6130 55th Avenue Circle E, , Carlsbad, CA 92010 Surfside, FL 33154 Bradenton, FL 34203 [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] 1 (760) 889-1027 (954) 348-0952 (941) 756-4152 Jan Ackerman Carina Acuna Margaret Adam 15781 Hayes Trail, , 182 E. Kasturi Ray, Ph.D Associate Professor Evren Savci, Ph.D Assistant Professor “DON’T BE EVIL”: GOOGLE’S LABOR, TECHNOLOGY, AND THE LIMITS OF CORPORATE GOOD Alison Agnes Veith San Francisco, California 2015 Google’s “Don’t Be Evil” motto and its public image as corporate do-gooder are examined through a material and cultural analysis of its internal labor hierarchies and its technological products. By focusing on Google’s hidden contracted reproductive service laborers, as well as the premises and consequences of disruptive, digital technology, this project reveals how the realities of necessary but undesirable work are obscured and contested. This dual focus allows for a revaluation of intimate labors in two ways. First, it reveals that Google’s sustained capital accumulation relies on its reproductive intimate labor. Second, it recognizes that Google’s corporate practices of invisibilizing intimate labor and mediating social intimacies are importantly reflective of the larger social, economic, and cultural trends in our emerging knowledge-based/service-based economy.

ANYTHING GOES -Sutton Foster and Joel Grey star as Reno Sweeney and Moonface Martin in Cole Porter's musical cruise across the Atlantic Ocean. BOOK OF MORMON, THE -Have they written it on golden plates? Only the creators (South Park + Avenue Q) know for sure. CHICAGO – There’s never been a better time to experience Broadway’s razzle-dazzle smash. A sensational tale of sin, corruption and all that jazz, it has everything you could want in a musical: knockout dancing, an edge-of-your-seat story, and one showstopper after another. CHINGISH - Playwright David Henry Hwang (M. Butterfly) explores the cultural barriers between America and China - especially linguistic ones - in this timely new comedy. COLUMNIST, THE - David Auburn's (Proof) latest drama portrays the dilemma faced by powerful Washington columnist Joseph Alsop, who publicly hosts the Kennedy Camelot circle while keeping hidden deep parts of himself. Starring John Lithgow. DEATH OF A SALESMAN - One man and his family are caught up in the pressures and delusions of living the American Dream. Miller's play is the story of a traveling salesman whose illusions of picture-perfect business and family life cave in on him. Philip Seymour Hoffman stars as the distressed salesman Willy Loman in Arthur Miller's masterpiece. Also starring Andrew Garfield and Linda Emond. END OF THE RAINBOW - It's December 1968 and Judy Garland is about to make her comeback…again. In a London hotel room with her young new fiancé at her side, Garland battles with a tornado of drugs and alcohol as she undertakes an exhausting series of concerts at the Talk of the Town to try and reclaim her crown as the greatest talent of her generation.
