TEAMGILBOA.COM // 3 FROM THE PRESIDENT... PARENT, VOLUNTEER, GILBOA SUPER FAN.

A passion for skiing! This is what brought our family to Team Gilboa 8 years ago. Little did we know how alpine ski racing would influence the growth and development of our children. They have grown up surrounded by a community of parents, coaches, and athletes who have supported them through the ups and downs of our sport. This environment is built on fun, determination, and the drive to improve year after year.

As an organization, we are striving to offer programming that is tailored to the needs of our athletes. In recent years, we have worked to offer new and innovative training both on and off the snow. Simulator-based training and the expansion of summer and fall dryland through Twin Cities Orthopedic helps our athletes build strength and confidence leading up to the winter season. While winter programming remains focused at Hyland Hills, we also offer training at other venues both near and far to instill confidence in our athletes that they can compete anywhere!

In order to succeed as a community that loves alpine ski racing, we need your help! Team Gilboa thrives through volunteerism and we are fortunate to have so many giving and gifted members. If you are not yet actively involved with our team or through race-day volunteering, I would encourage you to connect with me or another board member. For me, what started with simple jobs on the hill led to lasting friendships across our wonderful community. As a parent, I have truly gotten more back from my own participation than I ever could have expected!

A sincere thanks to all who contribute and make Team Gilboa excel – our sponsors, parents, coaches, and most of all our athletes. From Junior Race to FIS, let’s train and compete with a passion for skiing fast!
