CHICAGO, July 1.- The usual faces will be- seen when the all star baseball· game is played at Shibe Park in Philadelphia, the night of July 13. William Harridge announced the personnel of his 25-man American League squad Thursday, and 13 of the ball players are old hands at the an:star business. Members of the National League team were ,announced Wednesday night, and 15 of them have been around before. In fact, two, Mel Ott and Bill Herman, have played in nine of the 10 extravaganzas. Bill Dickey was the American League managers' No. 1 backstop ping choice, and if injuries hadn't forced him to withdraw from the '42· game, he'd be the oldest man on the diamoncj. in point of all-star service the night of July 13, with 10 chevrons. Every American League club is represented on the squad, which nevertheless has a distinct Cleve land-New York tinge. Each has six playing representatives. In ad dition Joe McCarthy will master mind the affair and the Yanks get one of the coaches, Art Fletcher, the batting practice catcher, John Schulte,. and the trainer, Eddie Froelich.
