Het inspireren en verbinden van deze grote groep is een uitdaging in een samenleving die steeds meer gericht is op het individu. Tennissers delen steeds meer hun eigen tijd in, onder hun eigen voorwaarden. De samenleving verandert en de KNLTB verandert mee. Als aanjager van tennis in Nederland wil de KNLTB zo veel mogelijk mensen meer laten tennissen en er voor zorgen dat zij dat ook blijven doen. Dit doen we door alle partijen die bij onze sport betrokken zijn te inspireren en te verbinden, door de zichtbaarheid van en de beleving van tennis te vergroten én daarnaast goed te luisteren naar de wensen en behoeften van onze tennissers en verenigingen. Met grote topevenementen, als het ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament en het Libéma Open, vergroten we de populariteit en zichtbaarheid van de tennissport. Door de inzet van verschillende communicatiekanalen brengen we de beleving rond het nationale en internationale toptennis voor het voetlicht en zijn we tevens gids in tennisland. Successen van tennishelden motiveren en inspireren, maar het werkt ook andersom: toptennis is gebaat bij een brede basis.
