Situation The Rodbaston Farm joins the Rodbaston Campus which lies on the A449 south of Penkridge.

The dispersal has excellent national road access via the M6 with the A5 interchange of the M6 being junction 12 lying only 2 miles from the sale site.

From the centre of Penkridge pick up the A449 south towards Gailey and the A5. Travel over the mini roundabout and pass the Texaco Garage on the left and after passing the first entrance of the College travel approximately ! mile and turn left up the main drive signed Rodbaston Campus-Equine Entrance. Continue up the drive and bear right before the tearooms with the sale site lying behind the campus (round on the tarmac road).

From the M6 junction 12 pick up the A5 towards Gailey and travel approximately 1.5 miles to the main Gailey roundabout on the A449. Take the 3rd exit signed for Penkridge and Stafford and travel up the A449 for approximately ! mile with the main Rodbaston Campus lying on the right (signed Equine entrance). Travel up the drive and bear right as detailed above.

SALE GOERS PLEASE NOTE- When leaving the sale site and the main Rodbaston Campus Drive all traffic MUST TURN LEFT towards the dual carriageway lanes and the A5 Gailey roundabout.

‘To the Sale’ and ‘Car Park’ signs will be erected on the morning of the sale.

Cheques/Payments-Payment Is Required On Sale Day Intending Purchasers not known to the Auctioneers must produce, prior to bidding, an acceptable Banker’s reference. Under new regulations introduced by the Banks, such references are now only obtainable by the Bank’s customers themselves and have to be obtained by them direct from their Bank and forwarded to us. Unless an acceptable Banker’s Reference is produced Payment is Strictly Cash. Persons unknown to the Auctioneers and who pay by cheque will have their goods impounded until cheques have cleared. All bidders should note that in many cases video security will be on site. Viewing and Inspection – strictly on sale day only from 8.30am onwards.

Conditions of Sale – Bagshaws usual farm sale conditions of sale shall apply at this sale, copies of which are available from the Town offices or the on site sale office.

Cash – Under the money laundering regulations the auctioneers are unable to accept cash in sums greater than "10,000 (or its Sterling equivalent). Please contact the auctioneers to discuss methods of cash payment prior to the sale.

Export Purchasers – All goods must be paid for in pounds sterling (£).

VAT on Export Goods – Under regulations imposed by HM Customs & Excise, the auctioneers must account in a proper manner for VAT on export goods. Therefore, any customers who have no trading pattern record with the auctioneers must pay all VAT on the purchase price of goods on sale day. On receipt of all relevant export documentation and bills of laden (which must be received in the prescribed time limits), the auctioneers will then refund relevant VAT sums.

Buyers Premium – No buyers premium will be payable at this sale.

Telehandler Loading Facilities – will be available on site until approximately 4.30pm on sale day only.

Loading It is the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange for the safe loading & transport of all and any purchases. Bagshaws are under no obligation to provide assistance in loading but on occasion they will do their best to help provided that it is not putting themselves, the purchaser or other people at risk of injury. For large, heavy and unwieldy items, specialist loading and transportation will be required for example bulk bins and tanks. The decision made by Bagshaws will be final.

This genuine dispersal sale on behalf of South Staffordshire College at Rodbaston arises as a result of the management team ceasing active farming on the unit and all livestock has either been sold or is being sold prior to the machinery sale.

The farm was originally the base for the Pedigree Rodbaston Herd of Hereford Cattle and all the cross bred store cattle have been sold via Bakewell Market.

There are four tractors included in the sale some of which have been used by other departments at the College with the Ford 1900 having been on scraper tractor duties for the College farm.

The stars of the show for the machinery sale include the John Deere 1365 Mower Conditioner which has undertaken very little work and the 2018 Kuhn Profile Plus 12.1 DL Venti Drive Feeder/ Bedder Unit. This unit is a Combi Unit for bedding and Diet Feeding with the KW361 Electronic Weigher Unit and software package currently in use and was delivered in November 2018 and has seen little work.

There is a wide range of cattle and sheep equipment and calf pens in addition to the General Equipment, Workshop Sundries and Produce.
