Day 1: Kathmandu to Lhasa to Tsedang (3650m) - 1 hr Flight

After breakfast proceed to the Kathmandu Airport and fly to Lhasa. During flight enjoy the Arial views of Himalayas including Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga and the Tibetan valleys. Upon arrival at Gonggar Airport, meet our Tibetan guide who will escort to Tsedang along the scenic . (2 hrs). Tsedang is located in is the capital of Shannan Prefecture. It is regarded as “the cradle of Tibetan Civilization with the magnificent scenery of River. Take it easy today to acclimatize to the high altitude.

Day 2: Tsedang

Today encounter with Tibet will begin with a visit to the Yambulakhang Palace, Tibet’s first palace which was built in second century BC by the first Tibetan king Nyatri Tsenpo who is believed to have descended from heaven. Next visit Thandruk Monastery. Thandruk Monastery, perhaps is the oldest monastery in Tibet. It is situated on the crowded roadside of the main city. After lunch explore the uniqueness of Tibetan bazaar which is full of traditional cultural surroundings. Overnight in Tsedang.

Day 3: Tsedang to to Lhasa

Today, drive towards Lhasa visiting Samye Monastery en-route. Samy Monastery is the first temple to be built in Tibet and the first complete with the three Buddhist jewels of Buddha, and . After having sparks of spiritual touch at Samye Monastery, further continue the drive. After 5 hours scenic and pleasant drives, finally reach the city of wonder, Lhasa. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 4: Lhasa sightseeing – , Monastery and Barkhor Market

After breakfast, have an easy visit to Potala Palace- the highest palace in the world and is Lhasa’s cardinal landmark which offers an awesome view of the entire city. It is the ideal example of architectural work and is mostly renowned as a residence of the Dalai lineages. Jokhang Monastery and Barkhor Market- Jokhang Monastery is the most revered and sacred shrine in all of Tibet and is constantly bustling with devotees. Barkhor Market is a very ancient round street surrounding the Jokhang Monastery and is a good place to purchase souvenirs. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 5: Lhasa sightseeing - Drepung and

Today at the dawn, visit at the largest monastery among the great three Gelugpa university monasteries which was used to be the residence of the Dalai until the Great Fifth constructed the Potala Palace. At the daytime, visit Sera Monastery - the second largest Gelugpa university monasteries in Tibet, is the well preserved monastery of white-washed walls and golden roofs. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 6: Lhasa sightseeing- and Tibetan Nunnery

A short excursion within Lhasa also covers few more Buddhist pilgrimage sites. First explore the long-standing history of Norbulingka. Norbulingka is a palace built in 1755 serves as the traditional summer residence of the successive Dalai Lamas. Norbulingka palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site represents unique Tibetan architectural presentation. Further Norbulingka, visit to Tibetan Nunnery. Tibetan Nunneries date back to 8th century but well establish since 12th century used to school nearly 28,000 nuns until the Chinese invasion in its sacred soil. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 7: Lhasa sightseeing - Tibetan Medicine Center

Day 8: Lhasa to Tsurphu to Lhasa

Today, take a round excursion to Tsurphu, 70 km away from Lhasa. At Tsurphu, visit , located 4300m above sea level is the Tibetan Buddhist monastery which served as the traditional seat of the . Since its foundation in 1159, the monastery remained a sacred place for holy monks. But, the spiritual site suffered massive destruction due to Chinese and restored in 1980. After having excursion, return to Lhasa. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 9: Lhasa to Ganden to Lhasa

After breakfast drive towards via Drayerpa Cave and visit local Lama in caves. There are more than 30 caves for silence thinker lama for religious. It takes 1.5 hours to visit some of them. After 35 km scenic and pleasant drive from Lhasa reaches Ganden Monastery. Visit the Gandan Monastery- one of the great three Gelugpa university monasteries and oldest monastery among the six ’s monasteries. Day 10: Lhasa to Gyantse

The journey from Lhasa to Gyantse (3,950 m) is full of the scenic gift of nature. The 261 km route passes through Yamadroke Lake over crossing two high passes named Karola (5,010m) and Kambala (4,794m) leads to Gyantse. Upon arrival in Gyantse have knowledge about Tibet's third largest city along with its natural habitat at such altitude. Overnight in Gyantse

Day 11: Gyantse sightseeing

Today explore architecturally intriguing and historically prosperous city Gyantse. After breakfast visit Gyantse an extraordinary architectural masterpiece with a large gold-domed and its nine levels rise in the manner of a step pyramid made it one of the most distinctive temples in the world. Palkhor Chode Monastery which houses Sakyapa, Kadampa and Gelugpa together and has combined characters of Han, Tibetan and Nepali architecture. Then after historical site Gyantse Dzong- one of the best-preserved dzongs in Tibet constructed in late 14th century, situated high above the town of Gyantse on a huge gray brown rock. Overnight stay in Gyantse.

Day 12: Gyantse to

Gyantse to Shigatse will be a scenic drive with a short visit to which is architecturally distinctive with a perfect combination of Han and Tibet architectural styles. Further, the drive touches uniqueness of the Tibetan village and finally Shigatse. Upon arrival in Shigatse visit Tashilhunpo Monastery one of the six big monasteries of the Gelug Sect of Tibetan and the home of the , which is located on the hillside overlooking Shigatse northwest of the town. The main structures found here are the Chapel and Kelsang Temple. Later then roam around the local market in the old town. Overnight in Shigatse.

Day 13: Shigatse to Shegar

After breakfast drive towards Shegar (New Tingri). On the way visit Natang Monastery which contains oldest printing house and collection of Tibetan printing blocks and hand-copied Buddhist scriptures. After then drive to Monastery- one of the largest monasteries in Tibet, and is home to the Sakya sect of Buddhism. It contains thousands of statues, paintings, murals, , , and other holy objects, as well as libraries of scriptures in Tibetan, Chinese, Mongolian, and piled from floor to ceiling. Then drive along the Friendship passing small town of and Gyamtso La pass at 5220m enjoying the view of spectacular Himalayan ranges from Mt. Makalu to Mt. Shishapama. Finally reach Shegar in the evening. Shegar is a new Chinese commune built at the foot of the ruins of Shegar Dzong, and is 7 kms from the main road. It is the centre of this large and remote country and also a base from where expeditions to Mt. Everest and other peaks are launched. Overnight in Shegar.

Day 14: Shegar to Zhangmu

With scenic drive via Nyalamu Pass (4800m), capitalizing the opportunity to see Mt. Shishapagma, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Everest continue downhill drive to Zhangmu. Also known as Khasa, Zhangmu perches on a mountainside 10km inland from the Friendship Bridge across the Bhotekoshi River. The small town has become the major trading post between Tibet and Nepal.The subtropical oceanic climate provides the small town a warm and humid weather and beautiful scenery throughout the year. The city attracts merchants from inland , Tibet and Nepal running for business. Nepalese even run Nepalese restaurants in the small town, serving Nepalese dishes. Zhangmu offers multicultural touch to the visitor. Overnight in Zhagmu.

Day 15: Zhangmu to Kathmandu

After breakfast clear the customs and cross the Friendship Bridge at the Nepal-China border across Bhote Koshi River. After some customs formalities, continue drive to Kathmandu. Enjoying the scenery of great white waters, beautiful landscapes and deep valleys along the way, finally reach the Kathmandu. Rest and overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 16: Departure Day

After breakfast, free till departure time. Transfer timely to the airport for onward journey.
