14 Day Tour through the winding mountain passes of Lesotho, Swaziland and . Experience the world-famous Country Trax Enduro farm, the Mountains, the zig-zagging dirt road of Sani Pass, Bikers Paradise and enjoy a real African Safari into .

The tour starts in Pretoria where we enjoy a Motorcycle Safari through a BIG 5 game reserve. From here we make our way to Countrytrax in Amersfooort. This is South Africa’s premier Enduro park! On our rest day you can either take part in enduro training or experience an exciting dirt ride on the farm. Up next we ride through the beautiful Drakensberg mountains and up into the Kingdom of Lesotho to ride the famous SANI PASS– a steep zigzagging road that ascends over 1500m in 20km. This is the most famous dirt road in Africa! At the top we enjoy a beer at the Highest Pub in Africa For the next couple of days, we ride through Lesotho- “the Kingdom in the Sky”. This country was made for GS motorcycles- ride amazing dirt roadsfollowed by incredible tar roads around Katse dam. We the head back into South Africa continue through the Golden Gate National Park amaking our way into Swaziland where we ride the Swazi country side – off the beaten track. Making our way back into South Africa again – we ride , an area known to locals as “Bikers Paradise” Next up we enjoy a SAFARI into Kruger National Park, home to the famous Big 5: Lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo and Rhino. On our last leg of the journey we ride the Panorama Route– stopping in to see Gods Window, the Three Rondavels and Bourkes Luck Potholes and ride the amazing mountain passes to Magoebaskloof and enjoy a tree top canopy tour- swinging Tarzan style on ziplines through the trees. Our tour ends on day 14 back in Pretoria.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 0: Arrive in South Africa Distance: 0-50km Highlights: Day Tour of Pretoria, Safari by motorcycle Welcome to South Africa. You will be met at the Johannesburg International Airport by a Sama representative who will transfer you to your Pretoria Lodge, where you can relax and unwind after your long flight. For those of you arriving early, there are lots of optional activities in and around Pretoria- for example you can do a city tour, Lion and Rhino Park tour, Soweto Tour or enjoy a massage at an African Spa. Your hotel is in walking distance of shops, restaurants and cocktail bars.

Welcome to South Africa Day 1: Day Tour of Pretoria and Big 5 Safari by motorcycle Distance: 0-50km Highlights: Day Tour of Pretoria, Safari by motorcycle This morning we will hand over your motorcycle to you and sign all the paperwork. After that is complete we will have a tour briefing and then the fun begins. We start off by taking a tour of the Voortrekker monument to learn some history about South Africa. This is followed by lunch in a small township just North of Pretoria to experience all the vibrant colors, sounds and tastes of Africa. Afterwards we enjoy a guided motorcycle ride through a BIG 5 nature reserve. Rhinos, giraffes, impala’s and wildebeest can all be spotted from your motorcycle. Tonight we have a welcome dinner in an African Boma. Welcome to Africa! (B, L,D)

Day 2: Pretoria to Country Trax Enduro Park Distance: +- 300km Highlights: Visit the World Famous Country Trax Enduro Park Leaving Pretoria behind we make our way along the back roads, into Mpumalanga and onto the small one horse town of Amersfoort. Here we fill up one last time before making our way along empty farm roads to Country Trax Enduro park (a Bmw training facility) On arrival we enjoy a short introductory ride around the farm and over some interesting obstacles. Tonight we enjoy scrumptious farm fare. We sleep in beautiful wooden Cabins. (B,L,D)

Enjoying the riding at Country Trax Enduro Park Day 3: Ride Country Tax Enduro farm Distance: 0-100km Highlights: Playing on the GS’s Today there is an optional OFFROAD course for anyone looking to touch up their GS skills. (Subject to availability) Learn correct riding position, riding in sand, tight corners, uphill and downhill, emergency breaking, riding rocky/rutty terrain. For those not taking part in the Offroad course there will be an exciting GS route planned to explore all the farmlands in the area. (B,L,D)

Playing on the GS's Day 4: Country Trax to Winterton, Drakensberg Distance: +-250km Highlights: Riding through the spectacular Drakensberg Mountains Leaving Country Trax behind we make our way across South Africa and into the beautiful Drakensberg Mountains. The Drakensberg mountains stretch about 1000km form North to South along the border of South Africa and Lesotho. Enjoy riding GS roads with the “Dragon” shaped mountains towering above us. Tonight we sleep at a cozy mountain resort with great views and hospitality. (B,L,D)

Riding the Drakensberg mountains Day 5: Winterton to Sani Top Chalet, Lesotho Distance: +-250km Highlights: Sani pass and the Highest pub in Africa Today we stick to the dirt roads and explore all the amazing mountain passes and dirt roads of the Drakensberg with some surprise stops along the way. This afternoon we ride up the famous SANI PASS. Enjoy the steep ascending bends rising from 1500m to 3000 metres above sea level in just 20km. Tonight we celebrate riding up Sani at the Highest PUB in Africa! (B,L,D)

Riding Sani Pass into Lesotho Day 6: Sani Pass Hotel to Katse Dam Distance: +-250 Highlights: Riding the best gravel roads and mountain passes in Lesotho Today we enjoy riding some more great dirt roads through Lesotho. Along the way we will see Lesotho herdsman walking their sheep and donkeys along small mountain passes- while Basotho women fetch water down in the rivers-you will feel like you have stepped back into history to a time before modern transport and tar roads. Tonight we sleep at the Katse Dam Lodge- with stunning views of the gigantic Katse Dam that supplies water to South Africa (B,L,D)

Lesotho was made for GS Riding Day 7: Katse Dam to Clarens, South Africa Distance: +- 220KM Highlights: Riding the ALPS of AFRICA Today we ride the road from Katse Dam back into South Africa. Up until now you will have ridden the best DIRT roads in Southern Africa- but today you will ride one of the best “TARMAC” Roads of your life. This road has more turns within 80km than any other road in Africa and all with very little traffic. Along the way you will stop to see amazing views, small waterfalls and breathtaking landscapes. In the early afternoon we will arrive in Clarens. Enjoy a walk through town (Many shops and Art Galleries) or taste some of our finest craft beer at the Clarens brewery (B,L,D)

Katse Dam Road Day 8: Clarens to Swaziland Distance: +-530km Highlights: The Kingdom of Swaziland Today is our longest day and so we get an early start! We start off with a beautiful ride past the golden Sandstone cliffs of Golden Gate National Park- stopping off to see some wildlife and beautiful birds of prey. Next up we cut across South Africa and into the Mountainous Kingdom of Swaziland. Tonight we sleep in Ezulwini Valley- the Valley of Heaven. (B,L,D)

Day 9: Swaziland Explore Day Distance: +-150km Highlights: Dirt Riding Swaziland, Hot pools at Royal Swazi Spa Today we spend the day riding the dirt roads of the beautiful mountainous Kingdom of Swaziland- Ride forestry roads, see the biggest rock in Swaziland and explore the rolling hills surrounding the Valley of Heaven. End the day with a soak in a hot spring and cocktails at the Royal Swazi Spa. (B, L, D)

Explore the backroads of Swaziland Day 10: Swaziland to Hazyview Distance: 300km Highlights: Shangana Evening Festival, Bulembu Pass Today we travel travel over the breath-taking Bulembu pass and back into South Africa again where we make our way to Mpumalanga (Bikers Paradise). Tonight we enjoy an African Feast at the Shangana Village sampling interesting African Cuisine- Mopani worms being a major highlight ( optional of course) and enjoying traditional African dances (B,L,D)

Bulembu Pass, Swaziland Day 11: Safari into Kruger National Park Distance: 0-50km Highlights: Kruger National Park This morning you will depart bright and early for a safari into the world famous Kruger National Park- you will have a full morning of game viewing. This world famous wildlife reserve is home to the BIG 5 and is roughly the size of a small country. You will have the opportunity to spot lions, elephants, birds and many different species of animals. (B,L,D)

Day 12: Hazyiew - Panorama Route- Magoebaskloof Distance: +-270km Highlights: Panorama Route, Magoebaskloof, Waterberg Mountains Today we ride the amazing Panorama route. This route hugs the edges of the all the way- this is the largest green canyon in the world and the riding is spectacular- every 20km or so, there is a beautiful waterfall or view site. Highlights include: Gods Window, Berlin Falls and the Three Rondavels. In the late afternoon we will arrive at the Magoesbaskloof hotel- located in the Waterberg mountains. Enjoy a well deserved beer at the Phoenix and Fireman Pub or take a walk down to the waterfall. (B,L,D)

Berlin Falls- Bikers Paradise Day 13: Magoebaskloof to Pretoria Distance: +- 350km Highlights: Tree Top Canopy Tour Magoesbaskloof This morning starts off with a "Tarzan" experience as we Zip line through the massive trees of the Magoebaskloof mountains on a Tree Top Canopy Tour. Next up we gear up for our final ride back to Pretoria. It is a relaxing route and we will arrive in the late afternoon. Tonight we go out to celebrate the end of an amazing Motorcycle Adventure. Tree Top Canopy Tour- Magoebaskloof Day 14: End of Tour Sadly your tour of Southern Africa has come to an end. We guarantee that you will take home loads of awesome photographs and fond memories of South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland and the warm people you have met. Transfers will be arranged to the airport.
