*Big Sky Conference Game #Times Local to Site/Subject to Change Oct. 12 (at UC Davis) ------Offense: Jordan Canada, RB QUOTING HEAD COACH MICK DELANEY: Defense: Brock Coyle, LB Special Teams: None USD WIN: “It’s just amazing, some of the things that are happening. Those are the games a year ago that we couldn’t win one of them to save our life. Now it seems like our players have been through so Oct. 19 (Cal Poly) many things that are conducive to making a play when it has to happen, and that’s what they are doing. Offense: Jordan Johnson, QB Defense: Brock Coyle, LB ** “As I looked at the thing with five or six minutes left to play, I was thinking the only way we really had Special Teams: Jordan Tripp, LB a chance to win the game and pull it out was to get a turnover and then go in and score. I had not dreamed of getting a turnover for a touchdown. Oct. 26 (Eastern Washington) Offense: Ellis Henderson, WR “Then they (USD) came down and kicked the field goal, I was thinking if we can just get a run back to Defense: Brock Coyle, LB the 35 of 40, then maybe get a couple of plays, and then maybe we can kick a field goal and get in back into overtime again – and then Ellis comes up with a huge play. Why they kicked it to him is beyond Special Teams: Ellis Henderson, Ret. me. Nov. 2 (at Sacramento State) “I don’t think that they knew until the last moment that he was in there, because we did not use him for Offense: Jordan Canada, RB kickoff returns since the second half of our last game (Sac) or at all in that game, just because Ellis doing Defense: Matt Hermanson, FS so many things. This is the fifth POW award of his career. (Special teams coaches) Ross (Brunelle) and Special Teams: Ellis Henderson, Ret. Jake (Cookus) came up to me and asked if they could use him and I said ‘why not, this is the only chance we’ve got to get a good run-back,’ and he takes it to the house.” Nov. 9 (at South Dakota) Offense: Ellis Henderson, WR ON WSU GAME: “They are not a team to be overlooked. They play good defense. They have as good Defense: Matt Hermanson, FS**& a linebacker as there is in the whole conference in (Anthony) Morales. He’s just an excellent football Special Teams: E. Henderson, Ret.** player. They also play extremely hard on defense. Nov. 16 (Weber State) “Offensively they’ve struggled to get points on the board, but they’re getting better there. They made a Offense: change at quarterback and went with a true freshman in Austin Chipoletti, who is very, very athletic. He’s not very big (5-11, 190), so it looks like we’re going to have to chase someone around again like we Defense: have every week, and that includes last week against a 6-6 quarterback. Special Teams:

“A team like Weber is just so scary, because they’re going to beat somebody, and there’s only two weeks Nov. 23 (at Montana State) left (in the regular season), so we’ve got to make sure it’s not us. They keep playing teams closer and Offense: closer. You go back to game one and they beat (50-40) Stephen F. Austin, and that’s a team that beat Defense: (52-38) Montana State. Special Teams:

“This is a game that’s not about them, it’s about us. We have got to be more consistent. It frustrates me !=National Player of the Week so much that we have been such an up-and-down football team. We’ve got to figure out a way to be &=Co-recipient consistent on both sides of the ball, offense, defense, and special teams, although I think that our special teams are playing about as good as they have been since I have been back here (2008) at UM.” 2004 Griz FB add 11-11-11
