HIGHWAYS: Revises route designations for certain byways
1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 56:1948.5(67), (68) and (69) and to repeal R.S. 56:1948.5(2), (15), (57) and
3 (60), relative to Louisiana Byways designations; to repeal provisions of law
4 designating certain highways and sections of highways as Louisiana Byways; to
5 designate certain highways and sections of highways as Louisiana Byways; and to
6 provide for related matters.
7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1. R.S. 56:1948.5(67), (68), and (69) are hereby enacted to read as follows:
9 §1948.5. Louisiana Byways designations
10 The following highways and sections of highways are hereby designated as
11 Louisiana Byways:

13 (67) Myths and Legend Byway:
14 (a) US 165 from its intersection with US 190 in Kinder northeast to its
15 intersection with LA 26 in Oberlin in Allen Parish.
16 (b) LA 26 from its intersection with US 165 in Oberlin northwest to its
17 intersection with US 171 in Allen and Beauregard parishes.
18 (c) LA 113 from its intersection with LA 26 north to its intersection with LA
19 10 in Pitkin including its routing through Sugartown in Beauregard and Vernon
20 parishes.

23 intersection with Louisiana Highway 10 and Louisiana Highway 61.
24 (c) Louisiana Highway 61 south to the intersection of Louisiana 61 and
25 Louisiana Highway 10 at the John James Audubon Bridge.
26 (d) Louisiana Highway 10 west continuing over the John James Audubon
27 Bridge into Pointe Coupee Parish to the intersection of Louisiana Highway 10 and

5 Section 2. R.S. 56:1948.5(2), (15), (57) and (60) are hereby repealed in their
6 entirety.

Abstract: Repeals present highway designations for the Myths and Legends Byway and the Zydeco Cajun Prairie Byway and enacts new highway designations for both. Enacts the Zachary Taylor Parkway - Louisiana's Military History Byway.
