April richardson Starting with drawings from life, April Richardson combines , , and collage to make beautiful pictures that urge us to notice and appreciate the natural world. She applies thin layers of ink and paper, scrapes or tears them away, and then rebuilds layer after layer to achieve complex depth and texture. April lives and works in Seattle, Washington. Her mixed media monotypes may be seen in numerous locations in Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, and beyond. She enjoys teaching and sharing the joys of printmaking with adults and children. To learn more, see April’s website at www.aprilrichardsonartist.com. At our September meeting, April will demonstrate some of her favorite methods, and then invite some of the audience to make a couple of simple prints. This should be both informative and fun!
