Composed of two campuses situated three miles apart, Lake Park serves approximately 2,700 students. Freshmen and sophomores attend East Campus; juniors and seniors attend West Campus.

Located about 30 miles west of downtown and 15 miles southwest of O’Hare Airport, Lake Park High School has been serving the citizens of Itasca, Keeneyville, Medinah, and portions of Roselle, Bloomingdale, Hanover Park, and Wood Dale since 1956.

STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES – Lake Park offers numerous opportunities for learning and involvement outside of the classroom in activities, athletics, fine/performing arts, and social service:

FACULTY – Lake Park students are served by 336 employees that include 187 teaching employees; 88% of staff members have an advanced degree. Each campus has a principal and two assistant principals.

CURRICULUM – Lake Park High School offers a broad and deep range of approximately 245 course offerings in twelve different academic areas and at several ability levels.

In 2014, 802 students took 1,381 AP exams in 26 different subject areas. Of the students taking exams, 81% scored a 3 or higher. GRADING SYSTEM AND RANK – Students are ranked by percentile based on cumulative grade point average. All courses except pass/fail courses are averaged into a student’s grade point average. The lowest passing grade is a D. The majority of classes are non-weighted. Only “A’s”, “B’s”, and “C’s” in Honors and Advanced Placement classes receive weight.
