May 5-8, 2013 Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress • Orlando, Florida MUG 2013 Annual meeting MISER USERS GROUP MUG Chairman’s Message I would like to encourage everyone to join us at the 32nd Annual MUG Conference at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Hotel in Orlando, Florida. Our members enjoy Orlando for the travel convenience and close proximity to all the thrilling theme parks. Bring your family along to enjoy the Orlando attractions. The resort also offers a wonderful meeting space in which to hold our popular conference.

Has the past year been a puzzle for you in terms of business direction for your financial institutions? Our theme for the conference this year is “Piecing Together the Power of MISER.” I believe that you are going to derive enormous benefit from the conference. As in the past, this year the Executive Committee relied heavily on the responses from the surveys, subgroup meetings, Customer Care items, and feedback from the members from the previous conferences. The Executive Committee has worked closely with FIS MISER to develop the diverse menu of topics, most of which will incorporate user panels and open forums. FIS personnel also stand ready to provide deeper knowledge about the many facts of the system. Users all have much to share and to learn from each Roger Chalkley, MUG Chairman other, whether your financial institution is a commercial bank, , or community bank.

MUG leadership heard that you want more sessions. We ambitiously created a fourth track of breakout sessions focusing on e-Commerce topics. We also designed the sessions with three other “tracks” in mind: front office, back office and data center/network operations. The MUG 2013 Annual Meeting will also have another exciting presentation of the Unisys/ FIS FIRST Award, which recognizes the most creative and innovative social service or product idea for marketing, customer/member service or MISER usage.

We are very excited to unveil our Exhibit Hall, which will provide you a multitude of product and service choices. Please take advantage and interact with the vendors and your peers at every opportunity. To overcome the issue of having several people trying to listen to one vendor, we created a Showcase Theatre that enables vendors to take advantage of talking to a small group.Another exciting development this year is that we are unveiling a smart phone app on the conference to help you plan your time and interact with your peers.

Overall, the MUG Executive Committee and FIS are working hard to make this the best MUG conference yet! As in the past, the attire for the entire conference, including our social events, will be casual. A couple of suggestions from past attendees are to bring a sweater, as the air conditioning sometimes gets a bit chilly, and to wear comfortable shoes. Our Tuesday night party will have a Western Theme, so you can enjoy dressing up to fit the theme and be sure to put on your dancing boots for some good ole foot stomping fun! I know we all attend MUG to broaden our business knowledge and to share ideas, but let us also make time to have some fun and enjoy each other’s company.

One last tidbit about the power of MISER you may not have known. MISER is the largest FIS core in the number of assets processed, more than $280 BILLION in total assets of its users! Come learn and help each other “Piece Together the POWER of MISER!”

I look forward to seeing you all at MUG!
