All 13 Branches Branches focused on 19 delegates from 11 achieved Minimum planning and Branches attended Operating recruitment - 10 SDS organised a the first SDS Requirements - 100% Each Branch received Branches now have a Branch Conference Networking Day coverage paid officer with 70 attendees one Education & from 8 Branches Training course

22 Championships 5 Regional para sport 97 individuals festivals with 324 across 8 sports have 58 individuals support to transition individuals from 194 been organised A four day residential attended 2 into weekly sessions mainstream schools multi-activity sports engagement days in and clubs with in 26 local camp at Badaguish water sports and support from SDS authorities for 35 youngsters visual impairment staff exclusive opportunities World Championships Success

Robyn Love and Steve Bates won silver medals as part of the Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball teams at the 2018 IWBF World Championships in Germany.

Allan Ritchie won PT1 individual silver and team gold at the 2018 World Para Shooting Trap Championships in Italy.

Aileen Neilson (), David Melrose, Robert McPherson, Hugh Nibloe and Gary Logan won silver at the 2019 WCF World Wheelchair Championships in Stirling.

Neil Fachie MBE won Tandem B Sprint gold and 1km Time Trial silver at the 2019 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships in the Netherland.

Derek Rae won T45/46 silver at the 2019 IPC World Marathon Championships in London.

Bobby Laing won the SS6 Mixed Doubles silver medal at the 2019 BWF World Para-Badminton Championships in Switzerland. European Championships Success

Scots Maria Lyle, Ross Paterson, Jo Butterfield MBE, Stefanie Reid, Gavin Drysdale, Hannah Dines and Kayleigh Haggo competed at the 2018 WPA European Athletics Championships in Berlin, returning home with seven medals. RaceRunning made its debut at the 2018 WPA European Athletics Championships in Berlin and three Scots, Gavin Drysdale, Hannah Dines and Kayleigh Haggo returned with two golds and a silver in the RR3 100m. Gavin Drysdale broke the World Record in the event.

Fiona Christie won WH2 silver at the 2018 BWF European Para Badminton Championships in France

Colin Leslie & Bobby Laing each won a bronze medal in the SL3/4 men’s doubles and SS6 mixed doubles respectively, at the 2018 BWF European Para Badminton Championships Robyn Love and George Bates won a silver medals as part of the Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball teams at the 2019 IWBF European Championships in the Netherlands International Success

• Scotland’s Cerebral Palsy footballers won the 2019 International Trophy CP Football Ciutat de Barcelona

• Scottish athletes and players competing for Great Britain at the Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi won an incredible 11 gold, 19 silver and 25 bronze medals Boccia

Reegan Stevenson, Jamie McCowan, Patrick Wilson and Stephen McGuire returned from the 2019 BISFed European Championships in Seville with a silver and three bronze medals

Stephen McGuire won individual gold and pairs bronze and Patrick Wilson won individual silver at the 2019 BISFed Scotland topped the medal table at the 2019 UK Championships in World in Hong Antrim winning 2 gold, 1 silver and Kong 2 bronze medals Education and Coaching

• 101 training opportunities were delivered involving 1,608 candidates • An external review of UK DIT reported that 99% of respondents had a positive impact • 15 young people are being supported through a Leadership and Mentoring programme made possible through a grant by Big Lottery Young Start • 8 Coach bursaries supported developing coaches • Currently working with 15 universities and colleges to work towards embedding inclusion across tertiary education Governance and Infrastructure

• Working with 38 Scottish Governing Bodies of Sport to support the inclusion of disabled athletes and players • Progressing towards the Advanced Level of the Equality Standard for Sport • Achieved 100% in the new Children 1st Safeguarding Standards • SDS was awarded the top level rating following the mid-term development audit conducted by KPMG • Graeme Doig has taken up post as Regional Manager for Tayside and Andrew Mackenzie is in place in the West of Scotland • Madison Garland has taken up post as Boccia Development Officer • Continued to co-ordinate a comprehensive programme of activities and training with financial support from: Communication and Leadership

• Gemma Lumsdaine (Young Coach of the Year), Kirsty Ewen (Volunteer of the Year), Darren Thomson (Technical Official of the Year), Jennifer Scally (Performance Development Coach of the Year) and Gregor McMillan (Disability Coach of the Year) were among the winners at the sportscotland Coaching, Officiating and Volunteer of the Year Awards.

• Neil Fachie MBE won Para-Sport Athlete of the Year at the Team Scotland Scottish Sports Awards

• Toni Shaw won the Disability Award at the Sunday Mail sportscotland Scottish Sports Awards Strategic Plan 2021-2029 Context
