Head coach Şenol Güneş Date of birth: 1 June 1952 Nationality: Turkish Playing career: Sebat Gençlik, AŞ Coaching career: Trabzonspor AŞ (four times), Boluspor, İstanbulspor, , , Turkey, FC Seoul, , Beşiktaş JK • Born in the Black Sea port of Trabzon, Günes became a legendary figure at his local club, keeping goal in the Trabzonspor side that won the Turkish league title six times – and the three times – during his 15-year spell from 1972-87; also won 31 caps for Turkey, captaining the team on five occasions. • Made the natural transition from player to coach at Trabzonspor after hanging up his gloves, moving up swiftly from assistant to head coach; rejoined the club after spells with Boluspor and İstanbulspor, leading the team from 1993 to 1997, claiming the Turkish Cup in 1995 and a league runners-up spot in 1996. • After brief spells with Antalyaspor and Sakaryaspor he was appointed Turkish national team coach in 2000 and proved an immediate hit, leading the country not only to their first FIFA World Cup finals in 48 years but all the way to the semi-finals, and third place, of the 2002 tournament in Korea/Japan. • Left Turkey job after failure to qualify for UEFA EURO 2004 and returned to Trabzonspor but reign was brief and he later resurfaced in Korea Republic – the scene of his greatest triumph – with FC Seoul. • Returned to Trabzonspor for the fourth time in December 2009 and led club to Turkish Cup and Super Cup triumph the following year, Trabzonspor then finishing second in the 2010/11 Süper Lig. Spent 2014/15 at Bursaspor, guiding them to the Turkish Cup final, before taking charge at Beşiktaş in June 2015. Went on to win the league title in his debut season – his first championship as a coach. Serhiy Rebrov Date of birth: 3 June 1974 Nationality: Ukrainian Playing career: FC Shakhtar Donetsk, FC Dynamo Kyiv, Tottenham Hotspur FC, Fenerbahçe SK, West Ham United FC, FC Rubin Kazan Coaching career: FC Dynamo Kyiv • A striker, Rebrov came through the ranks at Shakhtar but made his name at Dynamo, where he formed a potent partnership with Andriy Shevchenko and won eight Ukrainian titles in the 1990s before adding another after his return in 2007. He was twice named Ukrainian player of the year and earned 75 caps for the national team, and was in the side that reached the FIFA World Cup quarter-finals in 2006. • Rebrov was the first player to score 100 goals in the Ukrainian top flight; now every player who matches the feat becomes part of an elite group, unofficially known as the Serhiy Rebrov club. • After eight successful years at Dynamo, Rebrov moved to England to join Tottenham before winning titles in Turkey (Fenerbahçe, 2004) and Russia (Rubin, 2008). Finished his playing career in 2009 as a 35-year-old, and became assistant coach at Dynamo reserves. • He was appointed as an interim coach of Dynamo in April 2014, replacing Oleh Blokhin, and started his tenure with a Ukrainian Cup triumph, the Kyiv club's first trophy in five years. • Three days after the final he signed his permanent contract. His first full season in charge brought a domestic double, an undefeated Dynamo securing the Premier League title with two matches to spare and also reaching the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals. Rebrov led the Kyiv club to another title in 2015/16.
