The LGBTQ flag under the US flag Editor: Now that the dust has settled, we have just celebrated the birth of our great Nation (Independence Day) through the weekend with, Parades, BBQ's Music, Fireworks displays and with the flying of our American flags everywhere, even our dress attire was Red White and Blue and stars and stripes. Last month in June, I sent an email to the city of Pacific Grove, public official's, to advise them that flying the LGBTQ flag under the American flag was not good flag etiquette, and no other flag should be under the flag except your state, military or city. I did also say that I had no problem with them displaying the flag on separate flagpoles or hanging on the side of the building. Kelly Nix, from the Pine Cone wrote a little article on the rainbow flag, and my feeling on it being under the American flag. He got the city manager, Ben Harvey input, and he said that on June 5th they had a proclamation recognizing LGBTQ Pride Month and its direction to fly the four flag, again four other flag poles not under the American flag. Mayor Bill Peake characterized citizen's response to the flag as positive at a full house council meeting on Pride month, he also said that other cities where grappling over this. I did check other cities and states and they had good flag etiquette, I even found one city that displayed ten LGBTQ flags on one site, all on separate poles and the American flag on its own. I'm a Vietnam veteran, retired reserve fire captain, and retired reserve police officer and I take the American flag seriously and other places the LGBTQ should not fly is in front of fire departments, law enforcement, or any department that serve under the American flag. These areas are supposed to be neutral. My brothers and sisters that work in these fields all take an Oath, our military protects our country, _our fire service protects property and saves lives, our law enforcement, to protect and serve everyone. On June 17th I saw that Governor Gavin Newsom raised the LGBTQ flag on the Capital building, back in October 1990, they raised the LGBTQ flag at the Capital, it was up for only a few hours, Governor George Deukmejiam ordered it down since that time I heard that it was draped on the balcony and inside the building on Pride Month. Rea Turns the Tide in World SBK Championship Heading Into US Round By Brad Littlefield

In what is a truly sensational comeback, Jonathan Rea left with a 24-point advantage in the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship after being 61 points down just eight races ago. back in the lead of the championship. Race 2 started well for Rea, as he launched from pole position and led the field on the run through the opening lap. However, it was not an easy win, as Toprak Razgatlioglu (Turkish Puccetti Racing) raced through on Rea at Turn 11. The two then had a race-long tussle before Rea took the lead in the second half of the race. Seeing home Razgatlioglu, Rea took an incredible 78th win of his career to reignite the hopes of the entirety of the Northern Ireland and the rest of Great Britain to take the lead of the championship heading to the United States. “It is incredible!” Rea exclaimed. “A similar story to Misano in Race 2 with Geico US Round, 12-14 July, 2019 Toprak; he was so strong on the brakes.
