FIRST LESSON: Jeremiah 31:31-34

“Yes, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with their fathers, when I took them by the hand and led them out of the land of Egypt. They broke that covenant of Mine, although I was a husband to them, declares the LORD. “But this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD. I will put my law in their minds, and I will write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people. No longer will each one teach his neighbor, or each one teach his brother, saying, “Know the LORD,” because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD, for I will forgive their guilt, and I will remember their sins no more.

I believe in God, the Father, almighty,

THIRD LESSON: John 8:31-36

31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, you are really my disci- ples. 32 You will also know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” 33 “We are Abraham’s descendants,” they answered, “and we have never been slaves of anyone. How can

WELCOME HOME: WELCOME HOME: WHERE YOU ARE PERFECTLY SAFE

Next week, Thursday, 7th and Sunday, November 10th we continue our Welcome Home worship series talking about safety. Twenty-one billion dollars. That is how much Americans spend annually on home security. We want our homes to be a place where our families can feel safe. However, the reality is that no matter how many locks and alarms and cameras we use to guard your house, we are not perfectly safe. There is a greater danger than thieves... a greater threat than bullies… There is even something worse than physical death. Judgment Day is coming, and with it, the destruction of all creation. When that day comes, if we are not prepared, then be- gins an eternal nightmare. In the Church, our brother Jesus has given us a home that is absolutely safe. Not even Judgment Day can touch it. Chris- tians look forward to Judgment Day with great anticipation. Even as "the mountains fall into the heart of the sea" (Psalm 46:2), we have Christ's promise that we are safe. Welcome home!

May God our Father continue to bless our school and the next genera- tion of children. Let us each keep growing in faith and knowledge of the LORD Jesus Christ as He has revealed in the Bible.

WELCOME TO GOOD SHEPHERD!
