RAF personnel are expected to stay at the top of their game so they are primed for tasks such as setting up a deployable command centre or working on large vehicles in hot challenging climates. To maintain peak performance there are chances to keep fit, get into sports and take part in adventurous training. In the RAF you can join a club for just about any sport, from skydiving and scuba diving to tennis and sailing. There are more than 50 available sports including football, netball, rugby, hockey and athletics. There is also a host of some less common sports to try your hand at, such as fencing, bobsleigh, power-kiting, power-lifting and gliding. RAF personnel perform at every level from marathon fun runs to the Olympics, and every sport has teams and training facilities as well as support and sponsorship.

INTELLIGENCE ANALYST As an RAF Intelligence Analyst, you will use state-of-the-art technologies to collect and interpret information, providing vital intelligence, which makes a direct and timely impact to operations a ro u n d th e wo r l d . Intelligence is collected from multiple sources, including aerial and satellite imagery and foreign communications. This happens 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. DENTAL OFFICER Being an RAF Dental Officer means looking after the RAF personnel’s dental health, from routine check-ups to emergency a p p ointm e nt s th ro ugh o ut th e day ; as we ll as ma naging th e staf f in the practice. All RAF personnel are entitled to receive dental care to ensure that they are fit for military service. At the core of this care programme is a preventative philosophy that gives high priority to dental screening and regular checks. Older patient s , for example , may present with complicated dental problems, requiring advanced clinical solutions.
