Although the base for these posts is Ripley, all staff are currently working at home as much as possible. However, the service covers the whole county of Derbyshire and in more normal times the role will involve some travel around the county.

We require an experienced qs/cost manager with relevant post-qualification experience to join our new Project Management team in based in Chatsworth Hall, Matlock Derbyshire.

This is a new position created as part of the Corporate Property 2020 restructure. The team offer initial strategic advice to client departments, schools and other stakeholders. Working with others, the Minor Works Cost Manager Manager will assess the cost plans for proposed projects, manage funding allocations, monitor project costs, place orders , deal with invoices and payment, agree final accounts, and undertake budget monitoring for projects on the various minor works project programmes , including planned maintenance, kitchen ventilation, demolition, schools access, etc.

The various work-streams will include capital projects for client departments. Previous experience in helping to manage works-streams and work programmes will be relevant.

The cost manager will be required to act on behalf of DCC to represent the authority in dealing with joint venture, partners, internal and external contractors and customers; commissioning, monitoring, managing and reporting as necessary. Site visits will be required.

The Enhanced Support Team is looking to recruit a Senior Practitioner. Working in partnership with Health and other agencies across Derbyshire our team works with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism who because of their complex presentation require highly specialist assessment and care planning skills.

Building on the lessons learnt from Whorlton Hall the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development of systems and processes by which concerns about the safety and quality of services within specialist Learning Disability hospitals, residential and supported living services located within Derbyshire are considered. In order to do this you will have experience of working with people who have complex needs, to include people who have a learning disability and/or autism and who display behaviour that challenges, to include self-injurious or aggressive behaviour.

The post holder will be required to work closely with partner agencies in pursuance of our safeguarding responsibilities, critical to this role is the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with partner agencies, and to maintain recording systems so as to report on any emerging or unresolved issues.

Given the remit of the post the successful candidate will have extensive experience of working in accordance with the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal, the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. A working knowledge of the interface with Mental Health Act would be an advantage.

Working alongside the Service Manager and the other Senior Practitioners you will provide professional guidance and leadership to colleagues within the ASCH department and our system partners.

The Council is seeking to appoint a Property Gazetteer Officer to join their Projects and Development Team. With close links to the Joint ICT Service, the Projects and Development Team provides a range of corporate support services with a strong focus on digital transformation. The Property Gazetteer Officer will be responsible for managing, supporting and promoting the corporate address databases i.e. The Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG). They will be the nominated Authority Address Custodian, ensuring the authorities meet their Public Sector Geospatial Agreement and the Data Co-operation Agreement.

The Property Gazetteer Officer will be a joining a team whose primary function is to support the authorities’ Transformation Programmes; we are responsible for website development, application development, corporate project management, online services, GIS and mapping and managing and improving the Customer Services system.

The successful applicant will need to have experience in a similar role i.e. in manging an LLPG in a public sector environment. Ideally you will be self-motivated and a forward thinker with excellent communication skills. Someone who is organised and is a problem solver would be ideal.
