Bradley Basketball The Bradley University men’s and women’s basketball teams are back on WTVP channel 47.1 this month with two big games. An Evening Inspired by Downton Abbey It was a night of a thousand splendors as fans, young and old, flocked to the Peoria Civic Center Theater lobby to celebrate their common passion: Downton Abbey. Guests were transported back to the elegance of 1912 English high society as they stepped into a room transformed by the talents of Gregg Florist and Heaven on Earth, and filled with beautiful music provided by the Central Illinois Youth Symphony Honors String Quartet. And they themselves were part of the transformation in their period costumes and modern finery. The Crawley family and their servants—actors from Corn Stock Theatre and Peoria Players Theatre—mingled throughout the evening, setting the mood and interacting with guests. Local pianist Roman Paul played the baby grand piano, followed by a champagne toast and a sneak peek at Season 3.
